Weekend report. Better late than never🫣🫣
It’s been a busy week in the garage again.

So last weekend was all about Casey in the Stoxkart. She raced Thursday, Sunday and Monday.

Thursday night was damp and although she got off to a good start in her heats she ended up being run up the wall out of turn 2 and rolled onto her roof. The car was pretty bent so we just did what we could to get it out for the last race of the evening.

We spent a good few hours sorting the car Saturday afternoon after the Friday night hangover worn off 🤪🤪 and found more bent stuff that we had to fix.

Sunday, pretty steady, she finished her races and came off smiling.

Monday, first 2 heats done and finished with just a popped tyre. Heat 3 the heavens opened and we was really looking forward to seeing how she was in torrential rain only for her chain to snap as she was pulling on track.😩😩 That was home time after that.

Racing returns tomorrow night for Ruby and Mike with some shale racing at Mildenhall in the V8s💪🏻

We have been at Skegness tonight with Casey in the Stoxkart for day 1 of the Skeggy treble weekender. She is racing again Sunday and Monday.

Tonight was a night to forget. Heat 1 was actually pretty good and she showed some good pace but heat 2 she got a hit into the side rail coming out of turn 2 and ended up out of shape and upside down glancing the wall.😩😩😩

There was quite a bit of damage with a bent axle, bent rim, bent steering arm and snapped side rail. We managed to get it all sorted and ready for heat 3. Ruby was on the welder again sorting the side rail💪🏻💪🏻

Unfortunately the left rear tyre let go early on and ended up bending the sprocket ending the night.

We have a couple of down days now before we go again on Sunday and Monday. Let’s hope for some better luck.🤞🏻🤞🏻

Skegness last night. 👌🏻

After all the damage on Sunday at Hednesford we only had Monday to repair and get ready for Skegness Tuesday. 🤯🤯

It was a tall ask but we are some team and the boys and girls worked their buts off accumulating over 40 hours between them in one day to get the car loaded in the truck by 9pm💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

We got to Skegness around 1pm to do some testing and make sure the car is back where it should be. It took some adjusting and changing some settings but we got it there ready for the race meeting to start.

Heat 1- 4th
Heat 2- 6th
Final - 9th
National - 9th

Points scored in every race and loaded back in the truck without any damage at all.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Next up for us is back to Skegness next Thursday, Sunday and Monday with Casey for the Stoxkarts annual skeggy treble event.
Then the weekend after Ruby and Mike are at Mildenhall with the V8s for the last World Qualifying round.🏁🏁

Thursday at Skegness Ruby was surprised last minute with an on track interview with Richard Kaleta before the start of the meeting. 🫣

Unbeknown to any of us, Dad and Richard had conspired to set this up earlier in the week. 🙈

Considering this was sprung on her, she actually sounds like she knows what she’s talking about 😂

Today it’s Casey’s turn in her Stoxkart at our local track Buxton Raceway! 😃

She’s been out of the seat for a couple of months 🫣 but has been itching to get back out there.

Last day of a busy 3 days racing 🙈

Mike and Ruby ready to go at Northampton tonight, back on the shale after over 3 months of tarmac meetings. 🥳

To get these cars here today has been a mammoth undertaking. 😰 After racing Skegness Thursday evening, Mikes engine stripped a timing gear inside which meant a bit of an engine strip to get it sorted. 😖

Ruby’s shale car didn’t have an engine yesterday morning so we had to take the engine out of the tarmac car and fit it into the shale car. 🤯 As well as set up, altering Mikes car from tarmac to shale, getting Casey’s stoxkart ready for Buxton tomorrow and a mountain of other jobs and problems the full team consumed around 72 man hours yesterday alone. 😳

Let’s hope tonight and tomorrow make it all worth it for our 3 drivers and everyone at team Lomax. 🏁🏆
