For a standard home installation in the UK (as of May 2026), you can expect to pay between £800 and £1,200for a typical 7kW smart charger.
What Impacts the Final Price?
"Standard installation" usually assumes the charger is within a certain distance (often 10–15 metres) of your fuse box and requires no major electrical work. Costs can increase if any of the following factors are involved
Distance: Long cable runs from the fuse box to your driveway or garage.
Electrical Upgrades: Your home needs a new consumer unit (fuse box) or an isolator switch.
Groundwork: Cables need to be buried under paths or driveways.
Connectivity: Additional hardware is needed for Wi-Fi or 4G smart features.
The best way to go about it, would be if I called round to your property to access your needs, and current system and then give you a price accordingly!!
