Not very glamorous work this weekend. After a few weeks of consideration, we've made the decision to change the engine before we've even got out on track.

The M50 2.5 in the red coupe has been getting progressively louder from the top end. The M52 2.8 from the black drift compact was always strong and reliable, so we've started pulling that out in preparation for a quick once over and then we'll transplant it in. Lots of grazed knuckles and sore fingers!

Found some time to make some more progress on the car today. Rebuilt the rear coilovers with the new coupe bottom cups as change from the compact (thanks to for the help with these!). We then managed to get a very quick layer of primer on the amazing cage before the rain stopped play. Slow but steady progress, more to come soon hopefully.

Today we picked up the car from after he fabricated this amazing cage for us. The specification, quality and attention to detail is unbelievable. Billy went above and beyond and got it all ready in 5 days for us as the car has now been dropped off elsewhere for custom seat mounts, footplates and a little bit of rust repair.

Safety is obviously the number one priority with cages, but we think this one looks incredible! Can't wait to bolt everything else on and get out on track!

Finally some progress over the bank holiday!

Fitted the sunroof delete panel from , thanks for the help. The fit is perfect, just going to vinyl over the roof now for waterproofing.

Also managed to use 15kg of dry ice to make removal of the sound deadening much easier. Just need windscreen out and then all ready for cage with , currently very excited!
