When your pupil always looks at the gear stick to see what gear they’re in....
Problem solved!

If you know, you know! 🤣
You know who you are! 😝
Eyes on the road please 👀

If you know anyone who may benefit from a mature driver assessment please get in touch. I work alongside the IAM and can help conduct a fitness to drive assessment.

Enjoying the freedom of driving is important at every stage of life. The Fitness to Drive team is visiting Glasgow and Milngavie next week to offer friendly advice, practical guidance and helpful tips to support older drivers drive safely for longer.

Come along and meet the team at the below locations from 10am-4pm each day:

- The Forge Shopping Centre, Parkhead - Wednesday 7th October
- The Avenue Shopping Centre, Newton Mearns - Thursday 8th October
- Dobbies Garden Centre, Milngavie - Friday 9th October
- Dobbies Garden Centre, Braehead – Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October

Whether you’re looking for reassurance, have a question about your driving, or simply want to find out more, we’d love to see you.

We know lesson prices are high, so good quality teaching is what you need. Deciding to cut corners, save money and hope you will pass, will ultimately cost you in the end.

Let's stop the "Have a go" trait now!

A huge congratulations to Brandon, who travelled all the way to Blackpool to sit his driving test… and came home with a FIRST-TIME PASS! 🥳👏

It was an absolute joy to receive this photo of Brandon and his proud Dad with his pass certificate. It honestly made me smile so much. ❤️

Brandon worked incredibly hard for this. He put the effort in, listened, practised and kept going, and seeing him finally get that licence was so well deserved.

I couldn’t be prouder of you, Brandon.👏

Enjoy your freedom, enjoy the adventures ahead, and most importantly… keep it safe! 🚗💙

Well done! 🎉

A thought for a rainy Thursday...

Your child's 17th birthday is thier 1st driving lesson, or is it?

Can we stop normalising speeding?
Would you be ok with your newly passed child speeding?

Interested in your thoughts and experiences.

It might not be my driving test tomorrow, but I'm still getting ready in my own little way.
The car is cleaned and prepped with care, and attention ready for your big day.
A good instructor will take the time and effort to ensure you feel comfortable and ready for your test, and believe me, we feel all the feels too, and care more than you know about your success.

All these mirrors, and pupils STILL think:

I don't need them 🫣
They are optional🤨
For decoration🪞

👩‍🏫Instructor: "Have you been out practising since your last lesson?"

🧏‍♀️Pupil: "Yes, all the time!"

Sounds great.......BUT........

🚗If every drive is the same route,

🏠 You're only driving on roads you know,

🗺 If road signs aren't being used to help with planning and navigation,

⚠️If mistakes aren't being spotted and corrected, 🥴

📱If the supervisor is scrolling on their phone...

Then that practice may not be as valuable as you think.
