The main question we are often asked is ;

"HOW CAN REMAPPING SAVE FUEL AND INCREASE POWER AT THE SAME TIME AND WHY DIDN'T THE MANUFACTURER DO IT "?

We will tackle this in 2 parts .

1 The manufacturer must provide a generic map that functions in wildly varying climates from temperature extremes of -40 to +40C and also atmospheric restrictions like extremes of altitude .They must also take into account poor fuel quality and less than perfect servicing regimes.We are lucky enough to live in a part of the world where our environment is relatively stable so we can focus on performance .

2 Due to the restrictions placed on the map from the above situations manufacturer maps are actually quite poor and restrictive , we can fine tune and calibrate torque management much more efficiently.By releasing more low down torque earlier we can get the truck through the gears much more efficiently. So for instance the steep hill that you tackled at 40mph in 9th gear can now be done at 44mph in 11th . The reduction in engine rpm means you travel a greater distance for a given fuel amount , voila its that simple 💰💰

Also pulling away from junctions and roundabouts is much safer loaded due to the quicker pick up of road speed .
