I have been dreading this day for months because I knew I was going to need to make this post, so here goes.
On Monday night, we lost our precious boy, Ollie Furs, who decided it was time to go over the Rainbow Bridge.
This year has been a whirlwind of emotions because his health has been up and down. In true Ollie fashion, and sticking to his original name, he caused absolute chaos right to the very end, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
If you’ve ever thought about rescuing a dog, don’t think twice just do it. It will be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things you can ever do.
I can’t thank all my customers enough for allowing me to have my dream role for the last five years, driving about with my best pal by my side. He went from being a big, nervous soul to a big, cheeky gremlin who expected gravy bones at everyone’s doorstep.
If you’ve got any photos or stories of him from when we’ve visited, we would love to hear them and see them.
For the time being, I’m coming off social media for the foreseeable future and scaling back my workload. I’ll still be answering my WhatsApp messages, but my social media will no longer be monitored.
Thank you to everyone who ever gave Ollie a pat, a treat, or simply made him feel welcome. He really did have the best life, and I’m incredibly grateful that I got to spend it by his side.
