HOW OLD ARE YOUR TYRES?
It’s something most of us probably don’t think about… until there’s a problem
Even if your tyres still have plenty of tread, age matters too. Over time, rubber can deteriorate, harden and develop cracks, which can affect the tyre’s condition and performance.
There isn’t a simple rule that every tyre must be replaced after a set number of years, but older tyres should be checked regularly, alongside:
🛞 Tread depth
👀 Cracks, cuts or bulges
💨 Tyre pressures
⚠️ Uneven wear
📅 The tyre’s age and overall condition
Not sure how old your tyres are or whether they’ve still got plenty of life left in them?
Pop into The Garage, Eccleshall and one of the lads will happily take a look for you. 👍
Better to get them checked than wonder if they’re safe
