Got the BBT rear quarter fitted to Gwyns 61. These are for slightly earlier cars so we modified it to be correct for a 61. The 2 of the 3 drainage holes on the bottom of the quarter were removed so now there is the front one and stepped return lip, correct for a 61. We also fitted the proper 61 style bumper hanger, wiring hole, and shock mount hole. We also removed the caged nuts and added the factory style pressings and captive nuts into the quarter in the wing mount area. Quite a lot of work and it took a bit of time to fit but pleased with how it looks now with all the details right for a 61 and door gaps are looking good. Just need to finish the body mount area and tidy a few bits before its 100%.

Got the front end of Gwyns 61 finished off today. Both front quarters have been repaired, keeping the factory style captive nuts and pressings. We also fitted a new valance and spare wheel well. The upper LHS quarter was repaired where it had rotted away around where the seal strip fits. Then we finished off by spot welding new bonnet seal strips on both quarters and valance. Really pleased how this has come out.

Few pictures of the repairs so far on the front end of Gwyns 61. Gwyn wants all the factory details replicating so we made a repair panel for each side and made a quick tool to put the square pressings in, then fitted the original captive nuts into the pressings. The upper captive nut is different to all the others, not sure why but that’s how it left the factory.

We have a new front valance and spare wheel panel on order so will get the front end finished off next week 👍

Early oval unrestored survivor for sale. £20k.

Matching numbers Swedish oval built Feb 1955. Original pans and channels look like new under the carpets / mats. Original engine has all correct 55 parts, no end float. Never been apart or modified. Fully recomissioned keeping as many original parts as possible. Recent clutch, NOS muffler etc. Drives amazing.

All the repairs on Nicks UK 1956 body are pretty much finished now, shown here in bare metal 👌 Really pleased with this.

Once finished we will get a coat of epoxy over all the repairs to match the rest of the car.

The bonnet and chassis still need a bit of work before the metalwork is 100% finished. Once it is we will crack on with Gwyns 61, Charlie's 58 and Martins 53 until we are ready to start the prep and paint process.
