Coming up for sale. Ideal engine for a cycle car project or the right Morgan three wheeler.
Early water cooled J*P 50 degree twin with good matching cases, decent barrels and all of the contents of the timing chest. It has the crank, con-rods and two pistons. Although, the big end and gudgeon pins will need replacing at the least.
We are still comparing notes regarding the date of this engine as the early numbers didn't really make a lot of sense (when compared to 1920 onwards).
It's either the 980cc engine that was offered between 1912-1919. If that's the case, then it would suit a Grand Prix Morgan.
Or, it's a K-series (1918-1927). In this case, it also suits a Morgan.
Both engine types had a STD bore of 85.7, which matches this engine.
The stamped number is 29/7/###X (The sequential number is available to anyone who is interested enough to buy the engine).
