Electrical fault find on this Volkswagen T5 after a no start condition ⚡️

This customer brought the Volkswagen T5 into us after a no start ❌

After a quick look and listen to how the car was turning over, you couldn’t hear the squelch of the fuel pump that these Volkswagen fuel pumps make, we plugged VCDS in to manually turn the fuel pump on you couldn’t hear no Fuel pump or relay clicking❌⛽️

After inspecting the relay and testing it, it was found to be faulty, before we put the new relay in we did a continuity test on the wiring from the relay to the fuel pump plug. We found that the live wire had no power going through it whatsoever. ⚡️☹️

We removed the fuel tank and pulled all the wiring out  and found that the wiring had chafed on the body causing a short, we cut and joined the wires to see if that was the only issue, luckily it was, so we repaired the join put everything back together and it fired up straight away🚙✅

If you would like us to do the MOT repair work we can usually do them same day (part and time dependant) 🕰️
