It’s Benjamin Franklin Day (who knew?!) 😅

Considered the most brilliant American of his age, one little know fact is Benjamin Franklin was a keen swimmer - so keen in fact one of his earliest inventions was a pair of wooden hand paddles which is used to propel himself through the Charles River!💦
Why not celebrate this little known day by going for a dip…. Or a paddle…. Or even just walk by the beach to watch other (hardier) souls celebrating with a swim!!
Next time you strap on your fins, or leap into the water say to yourself ‘this one is for Benjamin Franklin’ 🏊🏻

Here at Aspect Campers we love welcoming our four legged friends 🦮
We are always on the look out for similarly minded people and places 🌎
So today we are going to focus on one of the beaches in our beautiful county that welcomes dogs all year round ☀️🌨❄️💨
Introducing Lulworth Cove….
Formed by ice melting at the end of the last ice age it has got to be one of the most stunning parts of our ever changing coastline.
Dogs are allowed on the beach to the left of the slipway all year round, but if you are going to let them off lead, the far left end of the beach is recommended as it’s generally quieter. 🏝
The Lulworth Cove Inn is dog and family friendly 🏨
A perfect day out when looking to explore the Jurassic Coast as part of your getaway!

Festival of Sleep Day is celebrated every year on the 3rd of January. The day was set aside to allow people to catch up on the sleep they lost during the busy holiday season. On this day, you can snuggle up and get some much-needed rest.
