Too many people want to rush nowadays.

Pressure comes from everywhere - family, friends, bosses putting their pressure on you

Learning to drive is YOUR journey - even if someone else is footing the bill.

Your are not just learning to physically move a car - you are learning to assess, plan, judge, navigate, predict...on the move!

Take your time! Your future self will thank you 🙏

(And, a plea to parents - allow your child the space and time they need. Yes lessons are expensive, but the pay off will hopefully be their lifelong safety...rushing can almost guarantee the opposite 🤷‍♀️)

With this heat the week’s seem so much longer….hard to remember what happened on Monday! But here we are, another mixed bag. Just shows no two lessons or two pupils are the same 🙏

🚔 Fail to Stop Ends Quickly in Fareham 🚔

Earlier today, officers attempted to stop a Jaguar S-Type in the Fareham area after concerns were raised regarding the vehicle.

Rather than stopping, the driver chose to make off, driving dangerously and travelling the wrong way around a roundabout at speed.

Their journey came to an abrupt end when the driver completely failed to spot a traffic island, resulting in two tyres being destroyed and the vehicle becoming immobilised shortly afterwards.

The driver then made off on foot and remains outstanding. However, a passenger was detained at the scene.

Checks revealed the vehicle was displaying cloned number plates and had no insurance, no MOT and no vehicle tax. The vehicle has since been recovered and will be heading for the scrapyard.

Thankfully, no members of the public were injured as a result of the driver's reckless actions.

Two more great reviews from my recent passees...I never take these for granted, we have our chats in the car, and of course I get a feel for what people think of their lessons, but it's just so lovely to read about the stuff I don't know.

Are there some instructors who hold their pupils back too long? Possibly

Are there some instructors who rush pupils through when they're not ready? Definitely

However, most instructors know how to guide their pupils successfully towards reaching test standard and will advise realistically on when to sit their test.

We know the test waiting times are long. We know that getting your licence is important to you.

What is important to us is that:
a) you are ready to drive alone, safely and legally (this is what getting your licence means)
b) you can spot when you've done something poorly and how to rectify it
c) we can sleep at night knowing that you are going to keep yourself and other road users safe

Please don't tell us how to do our job, we see the passes but also the fails, we photograph the smiles but also hand out the tissues.

Trust us, that's what you pay us for 🤷‍♀️
