Job Vacancy: Vehicle Technician - Southam (CV47)
About Rogue Motorsport: Rogue Motorsport is a specialist garage, workshop, and tuning business focusing on high-performance road and race cars. While we work across various platforms, our expertise is primarily centered on Toyota and Japanese brands. Our facility is fully equipped with dedicated workshop bays, fabrication tools, an engine build room, and dyno tuning facilities.
The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Vehicle Technician to join our team. This is a diverse role that moves beyond routine dealership-style maintenance. You will be involved in everything from fault-finding and diagnosis to long-term projects, including vehicle restorations, turbo/supercharger installations, and engine swaps.
Rogue Motorsport also operates a successful race team within the Toyota MR2 Championship. You will share responsibility for the preparation, maintenance, and trackside support of both customer vehicles and our own fleet of race-hire cars. This requires a commitment to being trackside for 7–9 weekends per year (1–3 days per event depending on location).
Key Responsibilities
Routine servicing, maintenance, and MOT-standard preparation.
Complex mechanical work, including engine replacements and performance upgrades.
Diagnostic fault-finding on both mechanical and electronic systems.
Trackside support, including rapid repairs and setup adjustments under race conditions.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in a professional workshop environment is strongly preferred. Experience with Japanese performance cars or motorsport is a significant advantage.
Qualifications: Level 3 Automotive certification would be a bonus, though we value proven skill and technical aptitude above formal certificates.
Tools: Candidates must possess their own comprehensive toolbox and tools.
Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential.
Attributes: You must be able to work precisely under pressure, particularly in a race environment where timing is critical.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 with Approximately 7-9 weekends per annum at racing circuits
How to Apply If you are looking to move away from mundane workshop tasks and into a role involving genuine innovation and motorsport, we want to hear from you.
