We don’t just work on wet belt cars we won’t on all vehicles, this clean little fiesta came in for a timing belt and water pump replacement.

Due to the age of the car, when we serviced it previously we recommended that it should be replaced.

Overall condition of the belt didn’t appear to be terrible but it’s never good to leave such a vital part or vehicle to the last second or until it does fail.

All done along with a service and ready to do another 10 plus years of motoring!

Wet belt replacement

Very low miles on this focus with just under 30k miles, customer wanted it replaced due to its age not the mileage, it is always serviced every year without fail.

The belt looks in good condition with very very little debris in the oil pump strainer, this was replaced solely for peace of mind which is never a bad reason!

We collected this one and dropped back to Rayleigh which is something we will do with most cases.

Wet belt replacement

Came in with the brake pedal rock hard which we instantly the wet belt would have been the cause of the vacuum pump failing.

Took the vacuum pump off and found the belt completely blocking the oil way. New vacuum pump ordered the rest of the job continued and once the sump was off the oil pump strainer firstly look okay until it was taken apart and was completely blocked around the edges and the rest of the debris was in the sump.

With lots of cleaning of the many parts to make sure as much as possible of the old belt was gone it’s all back together and back with the customer happy to have his car back.

Wet belt replacement

This little fiesta had done 66k miles, no issues at all just wanted the belt replaced due to the mileage.

The belt was just showing signs of wear but very minimal debris in the oil pump strainer, which is completely normal for a car with very good service history.

This ones back with peace of mind for its day to day life.

Wet belt replacement

Darren contacted us after finding us on Facebook, after a chat he was very happy to go with us to replace his wet belt on his very tidy focus.

This car has obviously been very well maintained the belt had just started to break down so very much worth getting replaced and the main reason was for his peace of mind.

With the new revised wet belt kit and oil pump belt fitted along with all the correct and necessary parts fitted, we delivered it back to his house.

This is one of our regular customers cars who called us when his brake fluid kept disappearing, on inspection we found the slave cylinder had failed and was leaking inside the gearbox.

We fitted a new 3 part clutch kit and a new dual mass flywheel, cleaned all the fluid out of the gearbox and off the engine.

2018 Transit Connect 1.5

We recommended to Josh to get his cam belt replaced as he had gone over 80k miles and we recommend to replace at that mileage due to seeing all of them with very slack timing belts.

The timing belts become slack as the plastic idler pulley and tensioner pulley wear and make the belt lose tension.

We replaced the full kit including the water pump and antifreeze and is now back with Josh ready to get back to work and earn its money.

Wet belt replacement

Dawn came to us after being recommended by her mechanic to give us a call and have the wet belt replaced.

The car has done 76k miles but is serviced every 5k-6k miles the condition of the belt is actually very good considering we have done many other cars with less miles and the belt has already failed, which goes to show if you maintain these engines they aren’t as bad as the reputation they have.

With the job completed using a revised wet belt kit and oil pump belt we delivered it back and dawn is very happy now she can have peace of mind on her journeys.

Mk6 Ford Es**rt

We got a phone call to do a clutch on this lovely condition es**rt, with it being 26 years old it still had the original clutch from new but has only done 62k miles

We fitted a new 3 part clutch to it, clean all the old clutch dust and fibre out the gearbox and adjusted the clutch pedal and the clutch feels fantastic and now moves on its own!

We recovered this 3008 down to the workshop after doing a mobile diagnostic it having cam dephaser faults stored.

Genuine PSA dephasers fitted along with a revised wet belt kit and reset all ecu values it’s running perfect.

These Puretech wet belts fail at very low mileage so if you are having problems with your car at low mileage it’s not uncommon.
