Our main focus at Flat Six Classics is 986/987 era Boxsters and Caymans, but occasionally we get offered a similar era 911 that we just can't refuse. RX53WPF is just such a car, a facelift 70,000 mile (996.2) Carrera 2 Tiptronic that remains in superb condition throughout, having had a significant amount of time and money expended over recent years to maintain and improve it.
Arctic Silver with black extended leather interior, and the following options: 5-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, rear window wiper, automatic air conditioning, Becker Porsche CDR-23 CD radio and a 6 CD autochanger. We are fortunate to see some lovely examples of the early 986 Boxsters that we specialise in selling, but every now and again something really special turns up. In this case, we were called a couple of weeks ago by a local chap in North Devon who asked whether we might be interested in buying his Boxster....and I mean HIS Boxster, as he had ordered it new over 24 years ago!

Another phenomenal 986 Boxster 2.7 from Flat Six Classics, KF02 XBU is a genuine two owner from new car with less than 39,000 miles recorded. Ordered by its first owner as a company car when he worked at BP, he then bought the car from the company car scheme in August 2005, at approximately 23,000 miles. Since then, the car was only used very sparingly in the summer months, accumulating just 11,500 miles over the next 14 years, before we bought the car in 2019 and sold it to the second owner, who has added just 3,500 miles since then.

The MOT history is super clean, with just an advisory for front brake pads in 2010 and one for tyres in 2011.

The service history is Porsche Centre Bournemouth to 2009/32,261 miles (4 stamps in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2009), then a Major service + spark plugs in 2015/34,663 miles, and a Minor service, brake fluid change and new front brake pads in 2019/34,915 miles. We will be doing a Major service, spark plugs and drive belt, and a brake fluid change before sale.

Super original and drives like a 3 year old car - supple, great performance, spotless inside and out save for a couple of stone chips to the factory original Lapis Blue paint. The car was ordered with very few options (the owner eschewing air conditioning in favour of dropping the hood), resulting in a pure, lightweight Boxster that feels wonderfully precise to drive. The fact that it has been kept in perfect conditions really shows in the details - the plastic grilles around the front air intakes have not faded from black to grey, the headlights are super clear with no UV yellowing. OK, it's about time we spent some time updating these pages. 2021 went by in a bit of blur, in fact we were so busy we neglected to keep this page up to date.

Yesterday we sold our 200th Porsche, a fabulous, highly original 3 owner 986 Boxster 2.5 in Guards Red. Just 45,500 miles on the clock, which new owners Ben and Laura will be adding to with a trip to Puglia in Southern Italy to attend a wedding later this summer.

We sold our last 2 987 Caymans quite quickly, so have gone out and bought a couple more. One of them is our first 987 Gen 2 PDK, of which more later (when I've taken some photos), and the other an absolute peach - a manual 987 Cayman 3.4 S from late 2005 (low road tax....tick!), with just 52,621 miles from new and a FULL Porsche service history, completed with metronomic timing every two years. In fact, the service history is such that this car was under a Porsche extended warranty until we bought it just last month. Incredible spec too - Basalt Black, extended black leather, heated seats, PASM electronic dampers, Sport button, short shifter, BOSE, PCM2, Litronic xenon headlights. A fabulous Cayman with impeccable history. Ready to go at £17,495. Form an orderly queue...
