On Friday, some of our Solihull colleagues visited the Birmingham Central Mosque, organised by our Islamic Society.
The visit highlighted the importance of prayer in the Islamic faith and has allowed colleagues to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for this aspect of our employees' lives.
Thanks to the work of our colleagues and the Solihull Inclusion Council, we have a strong working relationship with the Islamic Society network. One of our most significant achievements has been the development of Quiet Room facilities, which provide employees with a dedicated space for prayer and contemplation.
While weโve made strides in fostering diversity and inclusivity, we still have more opportunities to embrace. Education plays a crucial role in this process. Ramadan, fasting, and Eid may require different considerations for our employees. We will continue to work closely with the Islamic Society to support our employees during these times.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Iman and the Birmingham Central Mosque for giving us this incredible opportunity to learn and grow. Building strong relationships and fostering inclusivity will help us make our employees feel more valued and included.
