💧 Garage Therapy QFR — Quick Finish Restorer

I’ve been testing QFR, Garage Therapy’s new Quick Finish Restorer, and this is a really interesting product.

QFR is designed for those annoying light water spots and mineral deposits that can be left behind after washing or from hard water. Its mildly acidic, demineralising formula helps deal with those deposits while restoring that clean, slick finish to the paintwork.

But what makes QFR interesting is that it doesn’t just clean.

Once applied, it leaves behind around 2–3 weeks of protection, adding gloss, hydrophobic behaviour and helping improve the surface’s self-cleaning ability.

It can also be used on glass, making it a really useful finishing product after the wash.

One important point though — QFR isn’t a dedicated heavy water-spot remover. If you’ve got severe or etched-in water spotting, you’ll need something more aggressive. This is about dealing with lighter mineral contamination while restoring and topping up the finish at the same time.

For me, it sits in a really interesting place in the Garage Therapy range — somewhere between a finishing product, a light demineraliser and a short-term protection topper.

Definitely one I’ll be using more of. 👌

I bought a new car 10 months ago, but recently noticed that the paintwork just wasn’t looking anywhere near as good as it did when I first bought it.

A guy at my gym recommended Jonny, and honestly, it’s probably the best recommendation I’ve ever had!

I booked the car in for a full decontamination and ceramic coating. From the moment I met Jonny, I knew my car was in good hands. He explained exactly what regular car washes can do to your paintwork, including the damage caused by harsh chemicals and poor washing techniques.

Jonny thoroughly examined my car, gave me a full report and talked me through the entire process step by step. He explained everything he was doing, why he was doing it, and what was needed to get the best possible finish.

I left the car with Jonny for two days, and when I picked it up, it honestly blew my mind! 🤯

The car looked absolutely incredible. All the scratches and swirls had gone, and the paintwork was spotless. It looked like I was looking at a brand new car honestly, it was as if it had just had a full respray!

I am genuinely so impressed. 👏

Now it’s all about maintaining it properly to keep it looking this amazing, and one thing I can say for certain is that I will never take my car through a normal car wash again!
