Engine mounts and an attempt of saving the rear caliper as it was seized!

Gearbox mounts swapped over to new ones so hopefully it’ll give him a smoother ride when accelerating or changing gear!

After that rear caliper was seized solid… tried to free up but after several attempts it wasn’t budging so he’s coming back soon for a new one!

Liam brought his e90 in with a strange noise!

Bit of a whirring noise from the prop shaft area!

Turns out it was the centre bearing making all the racket! Swapped out for a new one and all torqued back up there’s no more noise and the drive is a lot smoother! Also just swapped out a broken exhaust hanger while I was under there!

Few bits done to Chris race car this afternoon!

He wanted to get a few fluids changed and checked over as he is racing it at the weekend so it needs to be right!

First thing we did was balanced a couple of wheels! Last thing he wants is a vibrating steering wheel at 100+mph!

After that it was a gearbox fluid change, old fluid was still in good nick but better being safe than sorry

Same with the power steering and brake fluid, power steering fluid was easy enough but brakes gave us an issue… the rear calliper brake ni**le snapped when loosening 😕.. we could have drilled it out but it’s risky so instead he opted for new calipers on the rear! Ordered and fitted and then brake fluid flushed its back to how it should be!

After that he wanted a new handbrake cable which was quickly swapped out!

Car is now ready to hit the track and hopefully come back with a good result!

Fresh tyres, new coolant tank and a service for this Astra!

Had a warning on the dash for low coolant level but looking it was full!

Turns out the old tank didn’t have a level sensor float in it so it wasn’t able to get a reading!

New tank swapped out for the correct one and that issue was gone!

After that it needed 2 fresh tyres up front and a basic service to keep the car happy!
