The longest days of the year are made for canal cruising — golden evenings, peaceful waters, and nature all around you. There’s something special about slowing down and watching the world drift by, especially at this time of year.

Our next available departure is 29 July for a 3-night summer escape.

We’re fully booked through July, August and September, with availability returning in October — when the canals take on a whole new kind of magic, with crisp mornings, dappled sunlight through the leaves and beautiful autumn colours (This photo collection is from October 2025 🍂).

Blue Otter is back on her mooring in Skipton, nestled beneath the trees and reflecting in the still waters of Springs Branch. After another wonderful cruise, she has just one night to rest before setting off tomorrow on an 11-night adventure along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

It’s been a busy season, with guests enjoying the simple pleasures of slow travel, waterside wildlife, canal-side pubs and the freedom to explore at their own pace.
