Ryder Motorcycles Official dealer of Arai & AGV helmets, and RST clothing. After 23 years in the automotive & fleet industry, I started Ryder Automotive in December 2015.

Growing up in a family with a haulage business, with a father who raced motocross, a career with vehicles was probably inevitable. We're very much a family business, run by me and my wife, Kelly. We sell all types of vehicles, both 2 wheel and 4, but always with old fashioned values of honesty, trust, and respect. Motorcycles and motorsport are still very much a part of our lives. I raced motorcross at club level, but after realising that I don't bounce as well as I used to, I now get my kicks on tarmac, and I'm a regular at track days around the UK. Both of our boys rode motocross when they were little, before our youngest son, James, started karting. He raced at club level through the Junior Rotax ranks with some success, and a lot more trophy's than me. If you find one of the rare moments when we're not at work, you'll probably find us "testing" the goods, whether on track or tour. Joe Ryder

🏍️ RMRC LUXEMBOURG WEEKEND – THE FINAL DAY! 🇱🇺🇧🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧

And that’s a wrap on our final RMRC European adventure of 2026!

Sam and Rob headed off last night as they needed to be home this morning, leaving four of us for today’s ride back, on the Moto Morini X-Cape 1200, two Kove 800s and a BMW.

A misty, damp start greeted us as we loaded up the bikes and said goodbye to Clervaux. Crossing into Belgium, the roads were surprisingly quiet, making for a lovely, relaxed start to the journey home.

By our first coffee stop in the beautiful riverside town of Dinant, the mist had lifted and the sun was shining! ☀️

After coffee beside the River Meuse, beneath the spectacular Citadel towering above the town, we decided to head up and take in the views.

Now, there are 408 steps from the town to the Citadel, but we reckoned our knees and hips probably wouldn’t appreciate that sort of punishment at our age! 🤦‍♂️😂

Fortunately, there’s a road to the top, so back on the bikes we went!

And what a reward! Absolutely breathtaking views over Dinant, the river and the surrounding countryside. Well worth the ride up!

By lunchtime it was properly sunny and warm, a complete transformation from the damp start to the day. We enjoyed lunch before continuing through Belgium and into France.

A final stop in Cambrai, with its impressive Grand Place, gave us another chance to stretch our legs before the last leg towards Calais and home.

And a special mention for the bikes themselves. Every single one of them absolutely blew us away! The Moto Morini X-Cape 1200, the Kove 800s and the BMW were fantastic throughout. Hundreds of miles of motorways, twisting mountain roads, sweeping bends and everything in between, and every bike proved just how capable it was. We couldn’t have asked for more from any of them! 🏍️👏

Fantastic roads, stunning scenery, beautiful towns, great food and, most importantly, brilliant company.

From the beautiful forests, lakes and castles of Luxembourg, including the spectacular winding roads of its Little Switzerland region, to the Ardennes and the banks of the River Meuse in Belgium, it’s been a cracking few days.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. What a fantastic way to round off our RMRC trips abroad for 2026!

🏍️ RMRC LUXEMBOURG WEEKEND – DAY TWO! 🇱🇺🇩🇪

What an absolutely fantastic day! 😎

Six bikes, including three Kove 800s, our Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 and two BMWs, out exploring some of the finest roads Luxembourg has to offer.

We headed into Little Switzerland, with its beautiful winding roads, wooded valleys and stunning scenery, before crossing the border into Germany… because, frankly, it would have been rude not to! 🇩🇪😂

From there, it was more spectacular riding through castle country, across the hills and mountains, past beautiful lakes, dams and reservoirs. Every turn seemed to bring another incredible view.

A stop at the magnificent Beaufort Castle was another highlight, and the scenery just kept getting better.

Arriving in Vianden was something else entirely! The whole town was absolutely buzzing with its famous annual Walnut Festival, the Veiner Nëssmoort. Thousands of visitors, market stalls, music and a fantastic atmosphere. What a day to arrive!

We got caught in a bit of rain around lunchtime, but otherwise it’s been largely dry, with even a few welcome spells of sunshine! ☀️

Back in Clervaux tonight for some enormous steaks, a few beers and plenty of laughs. 🥩🍻

Brilliant roads, spectacular scenery, great bikes and even better company. This is what RMRC is all about!

One more day of adventure tomorrow before heading home.

🏍️ RMRC LUXEMBOURG WEEKEND – DAY 1! 🇱🇺

What a cracking first day on the bikes! 😎

A rather early 4.30am start saw us heading for Folkestone and the Eurotunnel, ready for our final RMRC weekend away of 2026.

With six bikes loaded and everyone safely across the Channel, we were off into France, with our first stop in Cambrai for a much-needed coffee. ☕️

From there, we headed east towards the Ardennes, enjoying some lovely roads and increasingly beautiful scenery as we made our way to Monthermé, a picturesque little town on the River Meuse, for lunch.

The afternoon was where the riding really came into its own! 🏍️💨

Twisting roads, sweeping bends, beautiful forests and some absolutely stunning views across the valleys, with the autumn colours starting to appear. We even had plenty of sunshine to make it all look that little bit better!

A few stops for photos, plenty of laughs and the usual club banter along the way, before finally rolling into Clervaux, Luxembourg, just before 6pm.

We’ve got a great mix of bikes on this trip, including three Kove 800s, a couple of BMWs and our Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 demonstrator. It’s particularly good to see three of the Koves out enjoying a proper European touring weekend, putting some miles under their wheels on exactly the sort of roads they were built for!

Our home for the weekend is Hotel Koener, right in the centre of Clervaux, and after a chance to freshen up, it was time to head out for dinner.

Six hungry riders, six pizzas and a few well-earned beers! 🍕🍺

After a 4.30am start and a full day in the saddle, a lovely Italian meal was just what we needed. Plenty of laughs around the table and a great way to round off the day.

Great roads, stunning scenery, good food, a few beers and, most importantly, great company. That’s what these club trips are all about!

Tomorrow we’re heading out to explore more of Luxembourg, and if today’s anything to go by, we’re in for another brilliant day! 🇱🇺🏍️

🏍️ AUGUST SALES UPDATE 🏍️

Another really solid month for us, with 35 bikes finding new homes during August! 🙌

That breaks down as 32 used bikes and 3 brand-new Koves, compared with 34 bikes in August last year – so a very similar month to 2025.

But the bigger story is where that puts us for the year…

📈 261 bikes sold so far in 2026, compared with 233 at the same point last year.

That’s 28 more bikes and a 12% increase year-on-year.

Our 2026 total is made up of 217 used bikes and 44 brand-new Koves, which we’re particularly pleased with given that Kove is a completely new addition for us this year.

With 35 bikes to get through and everything that goes into getting them prepared and handed over properly, we were also working against the clock to get everything finished before we headed off on our Pyrenees trip at the very start of September.

It was a proper push in those final few days, but we got it all done, got everyone sorted and got away on time! 🙌🏍️

And that strong finish to August didn’t stop there. It carried straight into September and helped set us up for our best September ever… but more on that in the September round-up soon! 👀

Last after-work club ride of 2026 🏍️

And a decent turnout for the final evening run of the year!

A great route down to Ramsgate for dinner, making the most of the last bit of daylight before it was properly dark by the time we got there.

Food, a bit of the usual club nonsense, then with daylight well and truly gone, it was time for a slightly faster and considerably more direct route home 😂🏍️💨

That’s it for the after-work rides for this year. They’ll be back when the evenings start getting lighter again, but there’s still plenty going on with RMRC before then.

Final day 🇱🇺🇧🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧

After the girls spent yesterday being pampered while we were out checking the RMRC route 😂, it was only fair they got to see some of Luxembourg too.

So we headed north through the hills, valleys, cliffs, rivers and lakes, stopping in beautiful Vianden for breakfast. 🇱🇺☀️

From there we crossed into Belgium and on to Dinant for lunch at a lovely riverside restaurant, before heading across to Cambrai for one final stop.

Then a much faster final stint back towards Calais. 🏍️💨😉
After glorious weather for the entire weekend, that was finally where our luck ran out. 🌧️

And the rain highlighted something we’ve been trying to get Eurotunnel to address for some time.

The carriage floors are always poor and dangerous for motorcycles — damaged metalwork, sharp edges and horrible surfaces to ride over. But add water and the slippery loading ramps and they become genuinely VERY dangerous.

We’ve repeatedly tried to engage with Eurotunnel, offered our experience and even suggested a motorcycle user group to help improve things. Sadly, there’s been no interest and, from what we’re seeing, it’s getting worse.

Day two in Luxembourg 🇱🇺🏍️

The girls had clearly drawn the short straw today… staying behind at the 5-star hotel for a full day of pampering in the spa. 😂

Meanwhile, Scott and I dropped all the luggage off the bikes and headed out lightweight for a full day checking the route for the RMRC Luxembourg trip in October.

And what a day for it. ☀️

Absolutely stunning weather, fantastic roads and some properly beautiful scenery as we worked our way around northern Luxembourg, including Vianden and some of the roads, viewpoints and stops we’ll be taking the club to in a couple of weeks.

It might look like we’re just riding motorcycles around Luxembourg in the sunshine, but this is serious route research. 😂

It’s not your average day at work… but somebody had to do it. 🤷‍♂️🏍️🇱🇺
