This 10 year old Quaife 60G see’s its first service!!!

Credit where credit’s due it’s clear to see this one’s been well maintained.

Just a small number of parts replaced:
Service kit, rear roller bearings,1st gear, a drive disc and an upgrade to the latest mainshaft

60G 60G 60G 60G 60G 60G and….. another 60G across the bench.

This one in primarily for a ratio change on 1st gear but upon stripping it became apparently it was due a bit of TLC, also a broken dowel which isn’t a common sight but could have caused some serious damage had it broke the other end off.

Prompt turnaround and back with the customer for this weekends Nicky Grist stages

Quaife 60G in for a check over due to excessive play in the prop shaft bush.
Unfortunately the rear bush had turned in the casing, with this being one of the early boxes it had the old type oilite bronze bush which is no longer available. We’ve managed to save the tail case and had it machined to take the needle rollers bearings as used in the HD boxes.
