She truly didn’t do things by halves — balancing a job promotion, moving house, learning to drive, all while being an amazing parent.

Having her full licence will make such a difference, giving her more independence for her little family and making the daily commute that bit easier.

A massive well done to Zarabeth on passing her driving test first time today with just 2 driving faults – an amazing achievement! 👏🚘

I was recommended to Zarabeth’s mum through Facebook, as Zarabeth has autism, and together we’ve worked really hard on building her road safety awareness with lessons tailored to her individual needs.

It’s been incredible to see how much she has grown in confidence—she’s truly come out of her shell and is now a capable, confident driver with a great understanding of the rules of the road.

A massive well done to Chloe on passing her test 1st time today with just 3 driver faults – amazing result! 👏
Chloe joined me from another instructor with some basic knowledge, and what a journey it’s been. There were a few setbacks and bumps along the way, but her perseverance really paid off.
Today she showed the examiner just how safe and capable she is on the road.
Well done for overcoming your fears and holding it together – you smashed it!

As approved driving instructors, we work hard to equip learners with the skills, knowledge and judgement needed to drive safely. However, we often meet young people for the first time only once they are old enough to begin lessons — by which point many attitudes to risk, speed and peer influence are already forming. We believe meaningful road safety education should begin much earlier, while these mindsets are still developing.

We are advocating for mandatory driver theory and safety education within the UK secondary school curriculum, ensuring young people develop hazard awareness and responsible attitudes before they begin learning to drive.

This proactive approach could significantly reduce collisions involving young drivers and ultimately save lives.

Sam started before COVID in their hometown and, after multiple setbacks, has finally passed the practical test.
