We now have a brand new HGV Roller Brake Tester installed in our workshop 🥳 this means we can

✅ Accurately measure braking performance on heavy goods vehicles
✅ Identify imbalances or weak braking before they become costly problems
✅ Ensure your vehicle meets DVSA safety standards
✅ Carry out thorough brake diagnostics quickly and efficiently

We know we only seem to pop up once in a blue moon these days 😅 purely down to how busy we’ve been – but we couldn’t let Christmas pass without wishing you all a Merry Christmas🎄

It’s been a busy, busy year and we are beyond grateful to every single customer who’s supported us. We honestly wouldn’t be here without you.

Check out what we pulled from one of our recent jobs! The fuel filter was completely clogged, and the diesel tank had a nasty buildup of sludge and contamination. This is a classic case of dirty diesel causing havoc.

Engine replacement on a vehicle that was VOR’d due to excessive oil consumption.

✅️Fault traced to worn piston rings causing significant oil blow-by
✅️Customer opted for a quality second-hand engine to reduce costs
✅️Replacement nearing completion and final checks will hopefully be soon underway

This vehicle will soon be back on the road, ready to carry its precious cargo once again! Another example of how DG works with customers to find the best solution, without compromising quality.

✅️Rebuilt and tested all systems for full functionality

🔧This DAF XF came into the workshop with heavy steering and a visible fluid leakage – not something you want to ignore on the road! ❌️

✅️ Investigated and diagnosed severe corrosion around the steering box
✅️ Replaced the steering box with a new unit
✅️Gave the entire area a deep steam clean for a fresh start

With everything sorted, this truck is back on the road and working as it should. Another job done, another satisfied customer! 👍

Another successful turnaround here at the DG workshop! This DAF XF came in with lack of power. Fault diagnosed as a clogged DPF, causing major performance issues.

✅ Diagnosed and confirmed DPF blockage
✅ Removed and replaced the faulty DPF
✅ Full rebuild and system check
✅ ECU updated

With everything running smoothly again, the customer was back on the road in no time! 💨
