🚗 PEUGEOT / CITROËN / VAUXHALL OWNERS – IMPORTANT ENGINE WARNING 🚗

Do you drive a 1.2 PureTech petrol engine vehicle from 2017 onwards?

These engines are fitted with a “wet belt” timing belt system which runs inside the engine oil. Manufacturers recommend replacement every 64,000 miles or 6 years — HOWEVER, we are seeing many of these belts failing much earlier, sometimes at around 20,000 miles and just 3 years old ⚠️

When the belt starts to break down, debris blocks the oil pick-up strainer which can cause low oil pressure and, in severe cases, complete engine failure.

⚠️ WARNING SIGNS TO LOOK OUT FOR:
• Engine oil pressure light flickering on/off
• Oil pressure warnings
• Poor running or unusual engine noises
• Engine management/service warnings

Well done to all that worked hard and sponsored the Sleigh for 2025, we are chuffed to have been part of this and can’t wait to hear the great work that comes from the funding.

Here’s to 2026 🙌🏽🥳🎅🏼

In December 2025 we had our 3rd year of running the Santa’s Sleigh in Castle Donington.
We are incredibly proud to announce that we raised £5,400 thanks to our awesome community who donated each night, our sponsors and of course the sleigh team and volunteers.
This is a project we were keen to take on and continue bringing the magic to our community, and can honestly say we thoroughly enjoy it. The support from those in Castle Donington is outstanding and the contributions given continues to rise each year.

Love Castle Donington have raised funds throughout the year and have decided to put £1,600 towards the pot making the available funds for grants this year a whopping £7,000 which will be going right back into our community!!
