Story of an Alternator installation using the Supercharger drive cap as a pulley! Lovely single wire, self-exciting Alternator by WOSP makes the installation super easy to connect on a car that was originally built for racing with no road equipment and minimal electrical circuitry way back in 1996. Now road equipped and electrical power to spare.

MG crank oil slingers machined and this time we used a push broach to cut the keys. This setup uses a hydraulic press to push the cutter through the job. .......more of a Nut Cracker to crack a nut in this case !
IYKYK.

Simple seal conversion we have used for over 40 years uses an INA lip seal to replace the original return scroll.

"Sledgehammer to crack a nut"?
No, Slotting machine to cut a Keyway😀
5mm wide key being cut in a very tough blower drive coupling. One of those days when having the right machine for the job is the only solution!

Not long now.....

Following the success of the Clubmans 60th celebration event at Prescott in May last year the competitors indicated that they'd like to make it an annual event, This has been agreed with Prescott, who are keen for us to return and have already promised that we can have the same paddock slot this year (row C). This will be the same weekend - May 22/23 at the Prescott Historique meeting.

This year we plan to offer three classes to run in;

1, Cars using engines complying with CSP1 and CSPA (in the Clubmans racing regs) (ie Ford 1700 crossflow, K series etc or up to 1.6 motorcycle engines - 200 bhp max)

2, Cars using engines complying with CSP2 and CSPB (ie FF1600 or standard 1.6 K series)

3, Invitation for other Clubmans type cars not complying with 1 and 2

We'd also like to ask all entrants to become Hillclimb members of the Clubmans Register. This will enable us to collect subscriptions of £50 (we'll make a reduction for shared drives) so we can pay for the hospitality tent again and a few other extras for the teams. All the money will be ploughed back into the event for your benefit.
