Marvelous, half way through October and I come out to a frozen windscreen! Happy winter everybody.

You should know by now the only reason I do this job is to see your happy little faces after a test pass, but..............
when anyone gives me an extra thank you of chocolate and b**r, well that really does make my day. Thank you for this, I'll have a busy weekend!

SOme of you will have seen this before but worth another post. It's the time of year for low sun and long shadows at either end of the day. Look very closely at this pic and see how objects blend in to the background. Always look twice both ways at junctions - Think Bike and stay safe.

So here we are again at Skipton DTC, this time for Lily Pilkington who romped home with a FIRST TIME test pass. Congratulations Lily, time to burn those L-plates and enjoy your freedom. And a big thanks to Lily's dad for all the patient practice.

As we know, if I have to do a driving test on my day off there can be only one outcome and today was no exception. Congratulations to Fred Atkinson on a well deserved FIRST TIME pass with just 3 tiny driving faults. Well done Fred - keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

Anyone preparing for the theory test should know this.

Do you know all of these? Can you tell the difference? 😬😵‍💫
-
With so many road signs around, how many do you actually take in? It can be easy to miss a sign or misread one as there’s a lot to concentrate on when driving.
-
Road signs play a massive part of your planning when it comes to driving and make you more proactive than reactive.

Drop your answers in the comments.

Nice end to the week for Ellie Hollindrake with a well deserved test pass. It's not a first time one but Ellie knows that it's made her a better driver having learned from previous mistakes and I agree.
Well done Ellie, now get some wheels and enjoy your freedom!

We've been keeping the examiners busy recently but Brooklyn Caton won't be revisiting the test centre as he has scored a FIRST TIME test pass today with less than a handful of tiny driving faults. Congratulations Brooklyn, once again showing that asking, listening and practicing will get the result. Enjoy your car and stay safe Brooklyn.

Another well deserved test pass today for Owen Widdup with just 2 tiny driving faults. Well done Owen, it's not easy when you don't get chance to practice between lessons so you have done a great job.

Big shout out today for Harvey Balding who passed the driving test with just 3 tiny driving faults (and even Harvey admits that one of them would have been so easy to do correctly!). Congratulations and well done Harvey - another masterclass in putting in the work to get results.
Enjoy your driving - I'll be looking out for you on the road!
