An Announcement from Ledgerwood Morgan Sports Cars Ltd


It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of Ledgerwood Morgan Ltd following the recent passing of our father Phil, the founder of the business, and the current directors decision to retire.

For 50 years, both he and our mother Joyce dedicated their lives to building and running the garage, creating what became a much-loved and successful family village business. What began with Austin Rover and continued through the years to our Morgan Cars Ltd dealership, has been a remarkable journey and one of which our family is immensely proud.

Over five decades, the garage has been privileged to serve generations of customers. Many families have trusted us with their vehicles and supported us throughout the years, with some customers having been with us since the very beginning. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our customers, past and present, for your loyal custom, friendship and support. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all staff, past and present, who have played such an important part in the business over the years. Their hard work, commitment and loyalty helped make Ledgerwood Morgan Ltd what it became.

Our thanks also go to the many local businesses, suppliers, tradespeople and other organisations who have worked alongside us over the decades. Your support and relationships helped us grow and maintain a successful family business at the heart of the village.

Closing the garage after 50 years is an incredibly difficult decision, but we feel it is the right time although much sooner than anticipated, to bring this chapter of our family’s story to an end.

Our parents built more than just a garage — they built a business based on trust, hard work, personal service and community, and our family and all our staff leave behind a legacy that we will always be immensely proud of.

From our family to everyone who has been part of the Ledgerwood Morgan story over the last 50 years.

Thank you for your custom, your friendship, your support and for allowing our family to serve you for five remarkable decades.

New Morgan performance flagship now in final stages of
development ahead of spring launch

Morgan Motor Company is preceding the launch of its new six-cylinder flagship with the release of exclusive photographs showing a disguised prototype during advanced on road testing. The yet-to-be-named model – which is set to be officially unveiled in Spring – will be coachbuilt on a new ‘CXV’ platform, an evolution of the company’s bonded aluminium chassis.
Lighter and stiffer, the new CXV platform – paired with the BMW six-cylinder turbocharged engine – encompasses a range of new technical features and engineering enhancements throughout, all
contributing to greater dynamic performance and driving enjoyment.
While the images do not show the final design of the production vehicle, the new flagship model will be instantly recognisable as a Morgan, whilst projecting a more contemporary aesthetic and an
aerodynamically informed proportion.
The new flagship model arrives following the announcement in November 2024 that the Plus Six will be ceasing production. A limited-run of Plus Six Pinnacle models mark the final examples of the now sold out model.
The new model – whilst not a direct replacement of the Plus Six – will occupy a rightful position at the
top of Morgan’s model line-up.
Further information on the new flagship, including its launch date, will be announced in due course.
