After the latest successful candidate progresses through to his class 1 licence. We are on the hunt for someone that is looking to join the company at its most exciting time of growth and expansion.
You will join us as a 3.5t recovery driver, picking up valuable skills from around the business, from spending time in the control room learning the behind the scenes, to getting stuck in in the commercial workshop assisting our HGV mechanics in day-to-day tasks.
You will complete IVR training in health and safety and customer service, moving onto breakdowns and recoveries.
This is a long-term position with the successful candidate eventually earning their Class 1 licence which will be paid for by BDV. This opens the window for further recovery training and career progression within the company.
Candidate must be able to pass enhanced DBS checks to fulfil contracts.
This is not your normal 9-5 job, callouts, late working and working weekends will be expected.

To support our expansion program! We’re looking for a committed and reliable Recovery Driver to join our team and help us deliver first-class roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services in Grimsby and Scunthorpe.

Location: Grimsby/Scunthorpe based
Hours: Full-time, including some evenings, nights, and weekends (rotas/shifts apply)
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience (between £13.50 and £14.50 per hour)

Key Responsibilities

Recover broken down or damaged cars
Provide excellent customer service at breakdown scenes
Ensure all vehicles are recovered safely and efficiently
Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately
Carry out basic roadside assistance where safe to do so
Requirements

Full UK driving licence (Category C minimum)
Experience operating recovery vehicles or HGVs desirable (full training available)
Good local knowledge of North Lincolnshire and surrounding areas
Physically fit, punctual, and professional
Able to work independently and under pressure
Must be able to pass vetting/DBS checks
