๐๐ THINK BEFORE YOU BEEP! ๐๐
๐ That learner driver in front of you isnโt holding you up on purpose.
Theyโre learning.
Theyโre building confidence.
Theyโre gaining experience.
And theyโre doing their best. ๐
When a learner stalls, hesitates at a junction, takes a little longer to move off, or needs extra time to make a decision, blasting your horn can have serious consequences.
๐๐จ A horn can:
๐ซ Startle a learner
๐ซ Cause panic
๐ซ Increase anxiety
๐ซ Knock confidence
๐ซ Lead to rushed decisions
๐ซ Create a more dangerous situation for everyone
Rememberโฆ ๐ง ๐ญ
๐ Every qualified driver was once a learner.
๐ Every experienced driver made mistakes.
๐ Every confident driver started with little or no confidence.
The Highway Code states that your horn should be used to warn other road users of your presence, not to show annoyance. โ ๏ธ๐
Instead of beeping:
โ
Be patient
โ
Give them space
โ
Stay calm
โ
Allow them time to think
โ
Help them become safe drivers for the future
A few extra seconds for you could mean the world to a nervous learner. ๐๐
๐ Letโs make our roads safer, calmer, and more supportive for everyone.
๐๐จ Encourage learners, donโt intimidate them.
