Learn to Drive with Sarah Sarah is a patient friendly and fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor under the Driving Standa The business hours are therefore variable.

Sarah teaches Adults over the age of 17 the principles of driving a car on a one-to-one basis. The content includes safe driving, environmentally friendly driving, Theory and Hazard Perception, Show Me, Tell Me questions and passing your practical test. Lesson times and test times are arranged at a time convenient to the pupil and Sarah and are subject to availability. The length of the lessons ca

n be chosen from 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours, 2 hours, 3 hours, subject to availability. Sarah is experienced in teaching those with a learning difficulties and has been described by one of her pupils as "Awesome Sarah". The vehicle is a manual gearbox and dual controlled.

The motivations to learn to drive are often due to necessity, freedom, career prospects, trips out and about with ease, visiting the beach at the drop of a hat, school runs, hospital visits near and far afield, to and from work, hating bus journeys. These are just some of the reasons pupils show determination to gain their full driving licence. 🚔 Road Safety Reminder 🚔

Last night, PC Sharp and PCSO Graham attended a road traffic collision on Hall Lane, Moston.

Thankfully, both drivers involved were not seriously injured and are okay.

This incident serves as an important reminder for everyone using our rural roads. Country lanes can present unique hazards, including sharp bends, reduced visibility, narrow carriageways, uneven road surfaces, and changing weather conditions.

Please take extra care when driving:
✅ Drive at an appropriate speed for the road conditions
✅ Be prepared for oncoming vehicles, cyclists, horse riders, and wildlife
✅ Avoid distractions and stay focused on the road
✅ Allow plenty of stopping distance, especially at night

Let's all do our part to keep ourselves and others safe on our roads.

Changes to driving test booking happening today. ⚠️

From today (9 June), if you move your driving test, you can only move it to one of the 3 nearest test centres to where it's currently booked.

This is the remaining change we committed to make by the end of Spring 2026:

📅 31 March — test changes limited to 2 per booking

🔒 12 May — only learners can book, change or cancel their own test

📍 9 June — test moves limited to 3 nearest centres

Since 12 May, we've suspended 3605 accounts for breaking the rules and reported apps to app stores for removal. We're not stopping there.
