⚠️ ATTENTION VAUXHALL & ECOBOOST OWNERS! ⚠️
​We recently had this 2019 Vauxhall Grandland (65,000 miles) recovered to the workshop with an engine fault light illuminated and a diagnostic reading of low oil pressure.

​Upon closer inspection, we found the culprit: a failing wetbelt.

As you can see, the belt had begun to swell and crack. When these belts degrade, they shed debris that clogs the oil pickup pipe, starving the engine of oil—which explains that scary low oil pressure warning!

​Fortunately, we caught this one just in time. We stripped it down, replaced the wetbelt, cleared out the system, and this Grandland is back on the road running sweet.

​👉 The Takeaway: If your vehicle uses a wetbelt system (common in Vauxhall, Ford, and Peugeot/Citroën engines), regular servicing with the exact correct oil grade is vital. Don't ignore that engine light!
