⚠️ WRONG LOAD RATING CAN BE DANGEROUS! 🚨

Take a look at these shocking cracks in an alloy wheel recently removed from a customer's van at Maxi Tyres! 😳

The customer had aftermarket wheels fitted that weren't the correct load rating for their van.

🚐 Choosing the right wheels isn't just about appearance! Your wheels must be suitable for your vehicle and capable of safely supporting its weight and load.

⚠️ Incorrectly rated wheels can put your safety at risk and potentially lead to serious wheel damage or failure.

If you're thinking about upgrading your wheels, always make sure they're correctly rated for your vehicle!

🚨 WOULD YOU DRIVE ON THESE TYRES?! 😳

Believe it or not, these are just some of the tyres we've removed from customers' vehicles at Maxi Tyres last week!

⚠️ All of these tyres were dangerously worn and well below the legal tread depth limit!

Did you know the legal minimum tread depth for car tyres in the UK is 1.6mm?

Driving on worn tyres can seriously affect your grip on the road, especially in wet conditions, and increase your stopping distance.

🚗 Don't wait until your tyres get this bad! If you're unsure about the condition of yours, get them checked before it's too late.

🚗 PUNCTURE REPAIRS — ARE YOU SURE IT’S JUST A PUNCTURE?

We’re seeing a lot of this lately.

Customers are coming to us after visiting big high profile tyre chain companies for puncture repairs, only to find that the problem hasn’t been properly identified.

In some cases, the puncture has been completely missed because soapy water has simply been sprayed around the outside of the rim. In others, customers have been told there’s a 2–3 day wait to be seen — sometimes even longer.

That can leave people driving around on a tyre that is continuously losing pressure.

Sometimes that’s simply an inconvenience — constantly having to top the tyre back up. But we’re increasingly seeing cases where customers eventually come to us and the tyre is well beyond the point where it should be driven on. ⚠️

🔧 At Maxi Tyres, we take the wheel off and properly investigate the problem.

We can:
✅ Remove the wheel from the vehicle
✅ Submerge it in our dip tank to identify exactly where air is escaping
✅ Check for leaks around the rim
✅ Check the valve and valve area
✅ Inspect the entire tyre for damage
✅ Inspect the inside of the tyre for damage that may not be visible externally

And importantly, we aim to deal with it on the same day you come in.

A tyre losing pressure shouldn’t be something you simply keep topping up and hoping for the best.

If you have a slow puncture or your tyre keeps losing pressure, get it properly checked before it becomes a much bigger — and potentially dangerous — problem.
