🎉12 MONTHS. ZERO FAILED TESTS.

I’m incredibly proud to say that over the last 12 months, every one of my pupils who has taken their driving test with me has passed.

No failed tests in an entire year. đź’Ż

Of course, a driving test is never guaranteed - and I will never send someone to test just to improve a statistic.

Sometimes that means having an honest conversation and saying:

“You’re not ready yet.”

My priority has always been the same - helping learners become safe, confident and independent drivers, not simply getting them through a test.

A huge thank you to every pupil who has trusted me with their journey.

You’ve all worked hard for those results. 👏🚗

12 months. 100% success. đź’™

Who should go first?

Meeting traffic on narrow residential roads can be one of the trickiest situations for learner drivers.

And here’s the thing…

It’s not always about who has “priority”.

Good drivers look at the whole situation:

* Where are the parked cars?
* Who has space to pull in?
* Is another vehicle already committed?
* Is there enough room for both vehicles?
* What’s happening further ahead?

Sometimes the safest decision is simply to slow down and let the other driver through - even when you technically could continue.

Don’t fight for priority.

Communicate, cooperate and keep the traffic moving safely.

Good driving isn’t about proving you’re right.

It’s about making good decisions.

Why do learners hesitate at roundabouts?
It’s usually not because they don’t know the rules.
The problem often starts much earlier.
They’re trying to do everything at once:

* Check the mirrors
* Choose the correct lane
* Signal
* Reduce speed
* Change gear
* Watch the traffic
* Decide whether it’s safe to go

That’s a lot to process in just a few seconds!

The secret? Don’t wait until you reach the roundabout to start thinking.

Look ahead. Read the signs. Check the traffic early. Get your speed and position sorted before you arrive.

The earlier you prepare, the less you have to deal with at the last second.
Good roundabout driving starts before the roundabout.

🚗 Today’s driving tip

The best drivers aren’t the ones with the fastest reactions…

They’re the ones who rarely need them.
Good driving isn’t about reacting to problems.
It’s about spotting them early enough to avoid them.

That’s why I always encourage my learners to:

- Look further ahead.
- Read what’s happening around them.
- Give themselves time to think.

The more time you give yourself, the easier every decision becomes.

Safe driving starts long before you reach the hazard.
Have a great week and drive safely! đź‘‹

đźš— Every great driver starts in exactly the same place.
The first lesson can be exciting…
…but for many people it’s also a little scary.

Stalling.
Forgetting mirror checks.
Struggling with roundabouts.
Wondering if they’ll ever be good enough.

The truth is…

Every confident driver you see on the road today was once a complete beginner.

Progress doesn’t happen overnight.
It happens one lesson at a time.

Seeing that confidence grow is still the most rewarding part of my job.

Keep going.
You’ve got this.

Can you spot the hazard?

One of the most important driving skills isn’t steering or changing gears…

It’s spotting hazards before they become a problem.

So here’s a challenge:

What’s the first thing you would be looking for in this situation?

I’ll reveal what I would be looking for tomorrow.
