Congratulations to Ralph Bünger who is having a busy season with his stunning Rolls-Royce 20. This weekend, the car was awarded second place in this year’s 1920’s Class at the Hampton Court Concours of Elegance. This follows on from a class win and runner-up Best in Show at the RREC Annual Rally at Kelmarsh Hall in June.

A special 20 supplied new to India and today still retaining its original polished Barker ‘barrel-sided’ touring coachwork, the car is unrestored and a great demonstration of the renowned coachbuilders’ meticulous work. We are proud to support Ralph with the careful conservation of the car and are delighted that he gets so much enjoyment from using it!

This week Ralph and the car are off to the Chantilly Arts & Elegance concours at the Château de Chantilly. We wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing the car back for a tour on UK soil in October before it returns home to Seville.

Today is the final day of the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court. One of our favourite events of the motoring calendar, we have been delighted to attend this year with a fabulous trio of cars on our stand, including two remarkable Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts. We are also proud to be supporting a very special 1923 Rolls-Royce Twenty that is participating in the concours.

If you are visiting, we would be delighted to welcome you to our stand.

SOLD: 1923 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost

This stunning Windovers Tourer is soon to start a new chapter following 29 years of previous ownership. It is a beautiful Silver Ghost which is highly detailed and is an ideal long-distance touring car for the discerning driver.

Having four-wheel brakes, a louvered bonnet, spacious under running board toolboxes, a luggage rack with trunk, and quarter glass windows to the front screen, cars don’t get better appointed than this. Unless of course they also have the most magnificent internal cabinetry fully accessorised with vanity ware and a tea-making set.

We look forward to the new custodians enjoying this wonderful Silver Ghost on many international tours.

Our Motor Meet 2026 was a day to remember! It’s not often over 100 historic cars and motorcycles (not to mention buses and fire engines!) of all marques come together, and what a spectacle it was!

Our workshops were open for guests to enjoy and a popular highlight was our team giving rides in a 1902 Columbia electric car, a 1922 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, and a 1927 Bentley 3 Litre. The Craftsman’s Corner offered an insight into some of the rare talents that support the restoration of pre-war cars and we even had a small auto-jumble on site! That, together with live music and endless tea & cake, provided the perfect backdrop to the coming together of so many like-minded enthusiasts.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Motor Meet and made it such a special day!

There is something undeniably special and intriguing about a preserved, original car carrying a patina which you just want to reach out and touch!

This 1907 10.6lt Daimler must rate as one of the finest examples of this. It was bought new by the 4th Earl of Craven and retained by his family until 1983 when purchased by the great watch maker and car collector George Daniels. Said to be Daniels’ favourite car (quite a statement given his collection) he kept the car until his death in 2011.

Today the car retains all original and period finishes, including its copper plated fittings which have lead to it becoming known as ‘The Copper Car’.

The massive 4-cylinder has huge torque, and its tall first gear launches you inevitably into a good turn of speed. By the time you are doing 50mph in top gear the engine is doing little more than just ticking over! Driving this car is such a thrill (if not a little terrifying given the speeds you achieve and the brakes available)!

This is one of our favourite cars and we are privileged to have played a key role in its conservation.

An early start this morning to position this fabulous 1911 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost in the Royal Automobile Club rotunda.

The year 1911 marked the opening of RAC Pall Mall Clubhouse, so it seems highly appropriate to have this special car on display here. Interestingly, C S Rolls was a founder member of The Royal Automobile Club, dating back to 1897. Sadly, he was killed in July 1910 so never had the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular Clubhouse.

With beautiful ‘Barker’ style Tourer Torpedo coachwork, this particular car is a superb example of an early Silver Ghost. It has been extensively toured and is a regular participant in 20-Ghost Club events. It will be on display in the RAC until 20th April.

Sometimes the best things in life come in small packages!

That is certainly true for the Rolls-Royce Twenty. Built alongside the mighty Silver Ghost, the Twenty represented a significant step towards a more modern design, with the model intended to be for ‘owner-drivers’.

Having just rebuilt the engine on this particular car, the road testing stage has been thoroughly enjoyable. Whilst it has the smallest capacity engine fitted to a Rolls-Royce (3.1lt) it is very willing and capable. The steering is light and positive, and the brakes are reassuring (this is an early example so it has rear wheel only brakes).

This fabulous and much loved example is from 1924 and carries beautiful coupé coachwork, produced by the current owners’ family (Moring & Co.) Believed to have originally been fitted to a British built Chrysler, the family (who have a long association with coachbuilding and restoring Rolls-Royces) felt its rightful place was on a Rolls-Royce chassis. We couldn’t agree more!

What is most surprising is the value for money that a Twenty offers in today’s market! If you haven’t had the privilege to own and drive one, we can thoroughly recommend the model. This one will soon be going home for its owners to enjoy, but there are some splendid examples out there if you’re looking for a fun and rewarding car for social occasions, city driving or country lane touring.
