“I think my DPF might be blocked…”

Yeah… we’d say she’s a dirty girl. 😂💨

When your diesel starts struggling to breathe, losing performance or throwing up warning lights, there could be a very good reason for it.

This one certainly wasn’t hiding the evidence! 👀

A DPF is designed to catch soot from your exhaust gases, but over time that soot can build up, especially if the vehicle isn’t getting the conditions it needs to regenerate properly.

And when it gets this bad? She needs some attention. 🛠️

Off to our DPF cleaning machine she went.

If your diesel isn’t quite feeling itself, don’t just keep clearing the warning light and hoping for the best. Get the cause investigated.

Sometimes sticking a plaster on it just isn’t going to fix the problem… 👀🩹

This tyre came to us after what can only be described as an interesting attempt at keeping it going.

Unfortunately, once a tyre has suffered this level of damage, there’s no shortcut and no safe repair. The only proper answer is replacement.

So to Wight Tyres it came for the job to be done properly. ✅

Old tyre off.

Fresh, safe rubber on.

Customer back on the road.

We’ll always try to repair a tyre where it’s safe and legal to do so, but we’ll never compromise safety just to save a tyre.

And that’s exactly what happened here. 😂

These tyres have quite literally ripped around the sidewall, and once they were removed the extent of the damage was pretty clear.

No repair. No second chance. Just time for some fresh, safe rubber. 🛞

Tyres can sometimes hide serious damage until they’re removed, which is why a proper inspection matters. If something doesn’t look or feel right, don’t take the chance.

We see plenty of punctures that can be safely and professionally repaired.
This isn’t one of them. 👀

With the screw going through the shoulder and into the sidewall area, there’s no legal repair that can save this tyre. It’s game over and time for a replacement. 🛞

And this is where choosing the right tyre in the first place can really pay off…
