🔩 Well… that’ll do it! 😳

We see plenty of punctures, but this one was particularly impressive - a huge bolt straight through the tyre.

Once removed, you can really see just how far it had travelled through the tyre. Unfortunately, when something this substantial goes through, there’s not much chance of a simple puncture repair!

This is exactly why we always remove and inspect a tyre properly rather than assuming every puncture can safely be repaired.

🚜 Another tractor back to work!

A call for some mobile assistance after this tractor picked up a puncture, exactly the sort of job where bringing the tyre service to the customer makes sense.

No need to struggle getting the tractor to us. Our mobile technician headed out, removed the tyre, carried out the puncture repair and got everything back together.

💪 Not even the toughest site machinery is immune to a puncture!

This Manitou found that out the hard way after picking up what appears to be a whole strip of collated screws. 😬

When plant and machinery goes down on site, every hour it’s sitting still can cost money - and getting something like this transported to a tyre depot isn't exactly practical.

That’s where our mobile service comes into its own. 🚐🔧

🚨 THIS is why you don’t keep driving on a flat tyre… 🚨

Another mobile callout, but this one is a great example of how quickly a puncture can turn into a completely destroyed tyre.

Take a look at that sidewall. 👀 The tyre has been driven while severely underinflated/flat, generating heat and flexing the sidewall until the internal structure has started to break down. By the time we removed it, the damage was very clear.

At this stage there’s no repairing it - the tyre is finished.

If you get a tyre-pressure warning, notice the steering feels different or suspect you’ve picked up a puncture, getting somewhere safe and stopping can make the difference between a straightforward puncture repair and needing a replacement tyre.

And if you can't safely get the vehicle to us, we can come to you. 🚐💨

A roadside callout to this Citroën after a tyre problem left the driver needing a little help.

Our mobile fitter was soon on scene, the damaged tyre was removed, replacement fitted and the customer was back on their way. 👌

🚜 BACK ON THE FARM 🐔

There’s something about agricultural work we just love. No shiny workshop floors, no easy jobs, just getting stuck in and keeping the Island moving.

This tractor was in need of a new tyre, so our mobile van headed out to the farm and got it sorted on site, under the watchful eye of a few interested locals... 🐔😂

🚛 10 TYRES. ONE EVENING. MINIMUM DOWNTIME.

A big job for one of our valued fleet customers, J.A. Dempsey Civil Engineering.

With a fair few tyre renewals needed across the fleet, the priority was simple: get them done without disrupting their working day.

So Tony stepped up and offered to tackle all 10 tyre changes out of hours that evening, getting the vehicles ready to go again with minimum downtime.

What a legend. 👏

This is the bit of Wight Tyres that customers don't always get to see.

There are only five of us. When a big job lands, there isn't a huge workforce waiting in the background. It's a small team pulling together, putting the hours in and finding a way to get the job done.

Sometimes that means staying late. Sometimes it means reshuffling the day. Sometimes it means taking on what initially looks like an impossible workload and making it possible.

We genuinely wouldn't be where we are today without the right people around us.

This Toyota originally came in for just one tyre… but while it was with us, the customer took advantage of one of our FREE wheel alignment checks.

The check showed the alignment needed attention, so with the customer’s approval, we made the necessary adjustments while the car was already with us. ✅
