Not exactly the sort of job that rolls through the doors every day… but when someone turns up with an Energica Experia electric adventure bike and says, “Can you sort this?”, it would’ve been rude not to have a go. 😄⚡🏍️

This one turned into a proper challenge.

Battery pack out.
Pack completely stripped.
All of the battery pouch cells removed and replaced.
BMS/balancing boards inspected, fault found and repaired.
Battery rebuilt and reassembled.
Then the moment of truth…

✅ Powers up
✅ Drives properly
✅ Charges properly
✅ Cell balancing working
✅ Road tested from 100% down to 43% — 58 miles covered
✅ And yes… it may have had a reasonably enthusiastic test ride. 👀😂

After replacing the pouch cells and repairing the battery electronics, seeing CELL BALANCING appear on the dash while it charged back up was a pretty satisfying sight.

Motorcycles aren’t normally our thing, but EV battery diagnostics and repair definitely are — and sometimes a good challenge is hard to turn down.

One Energica battery rebuilt, one bike back on the road, and one very expensive ornament avoided. ⚡🔧
