How to apply for the Driving Instructor's register:

-Complete an enhanced DBS check (these can be sent off at some local post offices, please check online for your nearest one)

-Once you receive your enhanced DBS, you can apply online to the Driving Instructor's register (please ask us for the link)

To become a driving instructor, you must pass 3 tests.

• Part 1 is an extended theory test with 100 questions and 14 hazard perception videos.
• Part 2 is an extended driving test last approximately 70 minutes where you will have to complete 2 manoeuvres and possibly the emergency stop as well as driving on different road types. No more than 6 minors allowed on test.
• Part 3 is an instructional ability test where you are marked on your ability to plan and teach a lesson to a pupil of your choice.
