Weβre excited to let you know that the latest Garage Invoice update is now available.
This update includes a wide range of new features, improvements and rebuilt sections, all designed to make Garage Invoice faster, easier to use and more powerful for your day-to-day garage management.
We have focused on improving document creation, item management, reports, expenses, the Online Shop and the POS system.

π§Ύ New Item Table on Documents
We have improved one of the most important parts of Garage Invoice, the item table used on invoices, estimates, job cards and other documents.
The new item table is designed to make creating documents faster, clearer and more flexible.

Discounts on every item line
You can now apply a discount directly to individual item lines, either as a fixed amount or as a percentage.
This gives you much better control when discounting specific parts, labour, tyres or services.
π¦ Bundle Items
You can now create bundles of items and add them to a document with one click.
For example, you could create an Oil Service bundle that includes oil, oil filter, labour, checks and any other standard items you normally use.
This should save time when adding common jobs or service packages.
π Purchase Price, Margin and Markup
You can now add purchase prices to item lines and see real-life profit, margin and markup directly on the document.
This helps you understand how profitable a job is before completing it.
π Header and Text Rows
You can now add header rows and extra text rows inside the item table.
These can be used to separate sections, highlight important information, add notes under item lines, or make documents easier for customers to understand.

π· Price Includes Tax
You can now set Price Includes Tax directly on individual item lines when needed.
This gives you more flexibility when working with items where the selling price already includes VAT.

π οΈ Improved Items Management
Managing items is now easier and clearer.
Items can now be organised into useful groups, including:
Labour, Parts, Tyres, Consumables and Subcontract.
You can also check each itemβs profitability, including margin percentage, markup percentage and profit.
Stock control can now also be managed more clearly from the item edit screen.
We have also added extra options for the Online Shop and POS, so you can control where each item appears, manage pricing, and set shipping fees where needed.

π Custom Notes
We know that many garages regularly use the same text on invoices, job cards and other documents.
You may often need to add aftercare advice, warranty notes, payment terms, service recommendations, collection instructions, or other repeated messages.
With the new Custom Notes feature, you can now save these notes and reuse them whenever you need them.
This should help speed up document creation and keep your wording consistent across the system.

π§Ύ Rebuilt Expenses
We have completely rebuilt how expenses work.
Expenses now use the new item table, which means you can add multiple expense lines with different tax rates in one go.
This makes expenses more flexible, clearer and more accurate.
It also improves the process of converting Purchase Orders into Expenses.

π Rebuilt Online Shop and POS
We have completely rebuilt the Online Shop and POS system.
The Online Shop now has a cleaner layout, improved navigation, a better checkout process and new shipping fee options.
This makes it a much more complete online store for selling car parts, tyres and other products.
For tyre sales, we have also added extra filters to help customers find the correct tyre by size, brand and other details.
The POS system has also been improved with better controls, improved cart management for serving multiple customers, product detail views, and card payment options through Stripe and Mollie.

We have added new reports to help you better understand your business and make more informed decisions.
π Profit & Loss Report
Get a clearer overview of your sales, costs, expenses, gross profit, net profit, margins and average profit per invoice for a selected period.
π° Profit & Margin Report
Review sales, costs, gross profit, average margin, markup, low-margin sales, items below target and items sold at a loss.
You can also set a target margin percentage and quickly spot where your margins may need attention.
π§Ύ VAT Summary Report
The new VAT Summary Report is designed to help with VAT return preparation.
It shows VAT on sales, VAT reclaimable on expenses and purchases, adjustments, and the estimated VAT due to HMRC for the selected period.
