🔧 Wet Belt Wednesday 🔧

This Ford Fiesta came into the workshop for a wet timing belt replacement, and once we stripped it down, it was clear the belt was beginning to break down.

As wet timing belts deteriorate, the material can start to wear away while running in the engine oil. If left too long, debris from the belt can affect the engine's oil system, potentially leading to reduced oil pressure and, in some cases, serious engine damage.

Thankfully, this one was caught at the right time. We replaced the wet timing belt and completed the job, giving the customer peace of mind and helping to prevent a much more expensive repair in the future.
