Mk1 Es**rt RS1600 update. 👀

We’ve been busy. Really busy. And as you can see, it’s BLUE!

Ford Monza Blue to be exact. Very fitting with it being the Monza GP this weekend too!👌🏼

The underside has been stripped of any signs of corrosion, fully treated, epoxy primed, spray sealed in factory areas, primed and painted in the finishing colour.

The inside received the same treatment. Corrosion eliminated, bare metal treated and protected with epoxy, then prime’d and painted. We then did the satin black accents, a little neater than Ford did it👀 some will like it, some won’t. We do. 👌🏼

The full shell and panels are also in there first coat of high build primer after receiving minimal filler. This shell is incredibly clean. With most of it blocked down it’s now close to its second and final prime to really achieve that high end finish this car requires👊🏼

WRX revival!

The Subaru Impreza is a Japanese icon, the sound of the unmistakable flat 4 and the obnoxious wing and bonnet scoop grab your attention no matter where you are…however, the failing paint on this Impreza distracted you from appreciating it properly. Luckily the owner knew exactly where to take such a job 👌🏼👀

The bonnet and scoop were stripped of all the old failing paint, epoxy primed, high build primed and painted to a standard unmatched. Whilst on a revival mission, we also restored and painted the faded grill, corroded wiper arms and worn window surrounds.

It’s fair to say this Subaru now grabs your attention for all the right reasons….looking fresh and safe in the knowledge it will stay like so thanks to top quality products used correctly through the repair.

Sometimes the most expensive repair isn't always the right repair.
This customer came to us expecting a much larger bill. Instead, we gave them the options, explained the pros and cons, and recommended the repair that made the most sense for them.

Yes, we could have charged over £200.
Instead, we carried out a simple localised repair for £20 because it was the right thing to do.

A Sunday special!

Who remembers this then? Dan’s naturally aspirated YB Cosworth powered Mk2 Es**rt. It first came to us from SzantoSport needing the bay painting (the first of many👌🏼) and we got to see some sneak peak pictures with the engine back in and mounted 👀😏 but it didn’t stop there….Ben then went onto do a lot more fab work and it seemed a shame to leave the interior looking sub-par to the rest of the car…it’s no show princess and doesn’t get driven like one either 😜 but it did deserve a freshen up inside as it’s mostly exposed!

As always, a pleasure to work on such machinery with Ben 👊🏼 go take a look at his post on this we’ve shared for some finished pictures…you won’t be disappointed! 👌🏼

A quick post showing the work we carried out on Ben’s es**rt at SzantoSport. He did his usual magic on the metal work, smoothing the bay, converting to right hand drive along with some repairs, then it was dropped off with us to make it all nice and pretty. Pictures tell the story and the end result speaks for itself. Another awesome build by Ben and another awesome example of what we specialise in….your pride and joy, whatever it may be!
