Few cars capture British performance quite like the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Spitfire 80 Edition. Created by Q by Aston Martin to celebrate 80 years since the Supermarine Spitfire’s first flight, just eight examples were produced, making it an exceptionally rare piece of British automotive history.
Under the bonnet sits Aston Martin’s glorious 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12, producing 563bhp and launching the Vantage from 0–60mph in just 3.7 seconds, before reaching 205mph.
Finished in Duxford Green with Speed Yellow accents inspired by the Spitfire, the details go far beyond the paintwork. Inside, there’s Kestrel Tan leather, Spitfire 80 embroidery, RAF-inspired controls and even saddle-leather mats with sheepskin inserts inspired by the Irvin flying jacket.
But perhaps the coolest detail is above your head: the leather headliner features a black-and-white aerial photograph of Duxford Aerodrome — the historic airfield so closely associated with the Spitfire.
It’s this attention to detail that makes the Spitfire 80 so special. It isn’t simply a V12 Vantage wearing a special colour — almost every surface tells a story.
