These cars run a dry sump system and a common leak is on the drive output to the oil pump system under the engine

The part that fails a seal is literally pence the job is work to remove the oil pump and replace said seal
Now all ready for summer and leak free !!

Genuine 35k mile fiesta xr2 in for a suspension freshen up
We supplied and fitted a complete Powerflex heritage bush kit new engine mounts and shocks as all the original parts had gone a little soft

Now back with its go kart handling ready for another 40 years

We think this customer has definitely got his moneys worth from this oil filter and its definitely done its job !!
This is from a 2.0 tdi vw scirrocco following my previous post on the split turbo hose on changing the oil filter this is what we were faced with unfortunately it broke the oil filter housing on removal due to being so clogged up

We have also removed the sump cleaned out the oil pickup and inspected what we could see of the engine

We can't impress hard enough how regular servicing and inspection regardless of mileage can save you thousands in repair bills in the long run and time with the vehicle off the road

Vw scirrocco in for a blown turbo this week
Turbo had well and truly left the chat cause well no servicing for 4 years !!!🫣 and a split turbo hose coupled with diluted oil from incomplete regens poor little turbo just couldn't keep up

Your vehicle can be serviced for few hundred pounds a year which in the long run could save you thousands on repairs later down the line

So don't delay book in today !!!

Leaving us this week is this lovely s3
This time in for abs unit repair ,direnza mvt intercooler,3" downpipe ,forge turbo baffle delete ,uprated grooved disc all round and uprated pads we supplied theses in Probite great quality and we can offer very competitive prices on these
We also refurbed the calipers in porsche acid green with new s3 decals to finish them off

We then carried out a full single stage machine polish to the paint work and gave it a coat of bilt hamber wax sealed with sjarnagloss parla to protect it over the winter and valeted the interior

This car has had to have a fair bit previously to get it ready to go stage 2+ but with all the maintainable carried out should be reliable for the future

Sometimes the simplest jobs can be the biggest pain in the backside
From a couple of weeks back this one vauxhall corsa in for egr valve failure normally an hours job at most but this one did not want to be parted even after a good soaking in wd40 and some heat @1.5 hours just to get it moving from it's seat
So egr replaced along with a dpf pressure sensor a forced regen carried out and back to good health 😉

Golf in for a clutch and flywheel due to duel mass flywheel rattling
Here's a little video of the flywheel as you can see the bearing is pretty worn and the dampers are almost none existent
Now all back together and operating correctly with no vibration or noise 😉

Something a little interesting this week and a bit of a rare sight these days vw corrado 16v😉

Delivered to us as a non runner this little car has been round the houses/local garages with no resolve😬

We first started with a basic inspection of the engine ,ignition system and fuel system finding some minor issues and rectifying them we manager to get the car to cough in to life but it really wasn't happy

After some further diagnostic work and basic setting up we concluded the fuel metering unit to be at fault (a unit that had been sold to the customer as a refurbished item )

The original was still in the car so we stripped and cleaned this and refitted it and bobs you uncle it burst in to life much happier 👌😊

After some setting up this little engine that's been dormant for 4 years purred like a kitten again

So last weekend coming away from isle of wight classic show this little beaut broke down
A full webber rebuild kit for the car was ordered and yesterday we got to work
Carb was stripped cleaned diaphragm replaced along with the linkages being de siezed all have helped to give this little car it's power back
This weekend it will be on JW Autoshine Vehicle Detailing Ltd stand for it's last outing of the year

Bmw x5 in this week for a suspension repair whilst in we carried out a single stage polish and wax to brighten up the paint again and get rid of some swirls and this is the result gleaming in the sun ready for the weekend 😀
