Romsey Fast Fit have 3 vacancies available for an experienced Mechanic & qualified MOT Tester, Tyre Fitter & Wheel Alignment Technician and a Receptionist. Hours for the 3 positions are 8am to 5.30pm.
We are a busy local independent garage who pride ourselves on exceptional customer service. We have a large customer base which means we can get extremely busy. All applicants must be able to work under pressure.
Full driving licence is essential.
Key responsibilities for the Mechanic & MOT Tester:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on various makes & models of cars.
Diagnosing mechanical & electrical faults efficiently.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard & in line with safety regulations.
Maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
Supporting junior team members when required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic (minimum 3+ years preferred)
Strong diagnostic & problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities for the Tyre Fitting & Wheel Alignment position:
Fitting, balancing & repairing tyres on a range of vehicles.
Keeping the tyre bay clean and maintaining stock levels correctly.
Conducting basic vehicle checks & ensuring customer safety using our health check forms.
Providing excellent customer service & advice.
Maintaining a clean & safe working environment.
Supporting the team with general workshop duties.
Previous experience preferred - full training will be given for the Hunter Pro Wheel Alignment.
Overtime available on Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm.
Key responsibilities for the Receptionist position:
Greeting and assisting customers in a professional manner.
Answering & directing phone calls and emails.
Managing appointments.
Handling general administrative tasks including assisting and invoicing customers who rent container storage from us.
Strong multitasking abilities.
All positions are subject to a 3 month probationary (trial) period.
