Unfortunately due to low numbers booked in and struggling to get staff at such short notice we’ve decided to cancel the event.

💔 Supporting Jason Benn’s Family 💔

Many of you will know Amy, who has been part of the Southease MX family for around 7 years — running the gate, timekeeping, chequered flag and signing-on.

Amy first came to Southease with her two sons, Jason and Anthony, who both rode here from a young age alongside their uncle, with their grandad as mechanic.

Jason grew up at the track, progressing through the classes and going on to race with Gest Hastings MCC and Southern Motocross.

In more recent years, Jason gave back to the sport by marshalling for us — many of you will remember him on the main tabletop or helping out on busy mornings. He was always part of the paddock, always part of our community.

Tragically, Jason (aged 23) passed away in a car accident a couple of weeks ago, leaving behind a devastated family and two very young children.

We’ve set up a GoFundMe page to help support his family with unexpected funeral costs and to give anyone who knew Jason the opportunity to pay their respects.

Hi everyone, we was considering opening this next weekend but actually it’s my birthday 🎂🥳 and seeing as I spent last year on my 50th in a cast following a skiing accident (and most birthdays before that at mx 🙄🙄😂) and due to cast didn’t celebrate last year at all 😕 so I’ve decided I want to let my hair down and enjoy my birthday weekend for once instead 🤪😂 so will look to open the following weekend potentially.

Well what a day that was 💦🌬️🙄

Just want to say a massive thanks to all our marshals for standing out in that all day today, that was up there with the old days of running southease.

Well done to all that rode with us 👍🏻. It’s a shame the weather didn’t improve like it was supposed to. Thought the track still held up well though to be fair 👍🏻
Unfortunately we’re going to cancel tomorrow’s practice as the track needs a fair bit of work and with a good chance of even higher gusts we feel it’s not going to be very good.
