A MESSAGE TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS 🔧

I wanted to share a little update about the business and where we’re heading.

When I started On-The-Go AutoCare, the idea was simple: take the garage to the customer and build a business around providing a reliable local service.

Since then, things have changed quite a bit.

The business has grown, I’ve moved into my own workshop, and what started as a mobile mechanic service has gradually become a proper garage-based business.

Because of that, I’ve been thinking for a while that the name should reflect what the business has become.

So I’m pleased to introduce:

AMW AUTOMOTIVE

For the time being, you’ll still see the On-The-Go AutoCare name alongside AMW Automotive while we gradually introduce the new branding.

Most importantly, nothing about the service you receive is changing.

It’s still me working on your vehicles, in the same garage, with the same contact details and the same approach I’ve always had.

The only thing we’re changing is the name over the door.

I genuinely appreciate everyone who has trusted me with their cars, recommended me to friends and family, shared the business online or simply come back whenever they’ve needed something doing.

You’ve helped take this from working mobile to having a workshop of my own, and I want the new name to represent the next stage of that journey.

So whether you know us as On-The-Go AutoCare or AMW Automotive, you’ll still be dealing with me.

Same mechanic. Same service. New look.

What started as a mobile mechanic service has continued to grow thanks to all of your support, recommendations and trust over the years.

Because of that growth, On-The-Go AutoCare is proud to announce that we are now operating from our own fully equipped workshop facility.

This move allows us to offer:
• More repair capabilities
• Advanced diagnostics
• Improved turnaround times
• A better overall service for our customers

We’re still the same team, with the same commitment to honest, reliable work — just with a bigger space and even better equipment to serve you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far. This is a huge milestone for us and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

Another interesting one in the workshop this week 🔧

This Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 came in with a suspected timing chain issue, but as we dug a little deeper, we uncovered the real problem — a snapped valve spring on the inlet side.

From there, it turned into a more involved job. The cylinder head had to come off, allowing us to fully inspect the damage and carry out the necessary repairs. We replaced the head gasket and carefully rebuilt everything back up, finishing the job with a brand new timing chain to ensure long-term reliability.

Now it’s back together, running smoothly, and ready to get back on the road 👍
