It’s just a 1 series…..

A 1 series with 3.0 6 cylinder and a big turbo and some other goodies lurking under the bonnet 🌶

Finally finished this beautiful monster of an M140i

Strapped with a Vargas GC+ Turbo and all the supporting mods necessary to make huge power.

Tuned in house with our custom TD Performance Stage 3 software and the results are staggering!
Finished at an eye watering 667bhp and 928nm of torque 😳

As you can imagine this isn’t just a fast car, it’s terrifyingly fast!

Just a quick post as I’d like to raise my concern about pricing and our waiting list.

Lately I’ve had a few enquiries for jobs to be done immediately as some customers would not like to wait until working hours and book in around our busy schedule as we are always fully booked but we do our very best to serve each and everyone of our customers In a timely manner.

We do work Saturday and Sundays however it is by appointment only and our price is our price. Stating “your mate does remaps and he charges £100” isn’t going to make us price match.

We are not some flash and dash company with one slave tool and generic files for £40 a file and loads it on your car and send you on your way. We are EVC licensed with tens of thousands of pounds worth of master tuning hardware and software and all our work is custom and written from scratch from your original file with full backup and support with every vehicle.

That being said our prices are very reasonable and our quality is unmatched.

So if your looking for a cheap flash and dash job then we are not the company for you.

In for tuning is this lovely Audi A1 1.4 TFSI DSG

So this vehicle was tuned by another company here in South Wales and the customer was left disappointed with how the car performed so he called us to step in as he didn’t believe the figures the company told him it would make.

Shock, it didn’t!

Typical generic flash and dash rubbish we see all the time.

So the company in question told the customer “it’s mapped to 160hp”

So we did a power run to establish where it was at. Surprise surprise, 137hp 226nm 🤦🏼‍♂️

Pulled the file, usual flash and dash generic rubbish. Stock timing, small percentage increase in load tables, flat duty cycle requests etc and stock TCU software all torque limits stock.

In the bin with that rubbish, let’s tune it from scratch!

Finished at a nice and healthy 158hp 277nm 📈

Tuned the DSG also for crisp, rapid shifts and taken care of the torque limits.

Car is now performing how it should and with the power the customer wanted.

We added some pops and bangs as requested by the customer and for a little 1.4 TFSI it moves and sounds great 👍🏼

As always, stay clear of the flash and dash, OTS rubbish! Do it custom, do it right!

A lovely 2012 Audi S3 in for our custom tuning session!

Now this car is completely stock apart from an air filter. With some bolt on mods and minor fuel system upgrades we can achieve as much as 385bhp on the stock K04 064 turbocharger however the customer uses this daily and plans to upgrade in the future.

Let’s see what we can do in stock form!

First things first, full health check before tuning commences, health check came back nice and clean, let’s begin tuning!

Base map written and the car performing as should so time to ramp things up!

Finished at a conservative 1.4Bar of boost, 0 timing pull, rail pressures actual vs specified spot on, LPFP duty cycle nice and low. Overall a very happy car! Wastegate duty cycle at only 65% so lots of room for more power in the future when the customer adds some bolts ons and a VIS HPFP.

Finished at 320bhp 368ft lb, when the customer returns with his upgrades fitted this car will easily produce 380+bhp 400ft lb!

What a cracker 👌🏼

Sent the customer off for a test drive, he returned with a massive grin and I quote “This is quick as f**k now!” 🤣

Another happy customer with a car tuned correctly and custom by a qualified tuner in front of his eyes!

I see so many posts by companies here in South Wales claiming they use “dyno proven files” and comparing a stock file to the tuned file in WinOLS to try and make themselves look like they know what they are doing 🤦🏼‍♂️ fact is they don’t have a clue how to calibrate your ECU, all they do is buy a file from an unknown file provider and whack it on. No knowledge, no training and no skill!

If you value your car and want it tuned professionally and want it to perform its very best, forget the flash and dash morons!

Here at TD Performance we actually write the software in front of you and we are happy to show you every table we are adjusting and why. No generic or file provider rubbish here 💪🏼

We’ve been so busy here at TD Performance over the past few months we simply haven’t had the time to update our posts as we’ve been tuning in excess of 5 vehicles a day, 7 days a week!

But here’s a lovely Golf we managed to get a snap of!

A lovely Golf GTI Performance in for our Stage 1 custom tuning session!

Stock: 230bhp 350nm 📉
Stage 1: 320bhp 485nm 📈

Massive gains on these even with stock hardware. As always the customer was blown away with the difference. 90bhp 135nm gain from just our software! 💪🏼

There are loads of flash and dash “tuners” in South Wales that offer “dyno proven files” 🤦🏼‍♂️ but if you value your vehicle and want the very best performance and reliability then look no further than TD Performance.

We are EVC licensed and Alientech licensed, IHI trained and write all our own custom software in front of your eyes. We use the latest genuine Master tuner hardware from Alientech and Magicmotorsport so be assured your vehicle is in the best possible hands!

Every week without fail we have to correct these flash and dash jobs done by other companies as these “dyno proven files” that they buy and load onto your car are a load of rubbish!

Here’s another Fiesta ST 180 in at TD Performance for our very own stage 2 TD2R software as it was tuned previously by a flash and dash moron with “dyno proven files” 🤦🏼‍♂️ and the results were as they always are, rubbish! So first we logged it and got it on Alientech’s Dynodrive and then began tuning from scratch!

Stock: 180bhp 290nm 📉
Other company: 200bhp 320nm 🤦🏼‍♂️
TD2R: 250bhp 385nm 📈
Hardcut limiter 💥
Overrun burbles 💥

A lovely BMW 525d in for tuning.

Vehicle was already tuned previously elsewhere however the customer wanted the TD Performance spice 🌶

We pulled the file and analysed the calibration and although it wasn’t the worst tune we’ve seen there was LOTS of room for improvement.

Previous tune: 260bhp 560nm 📉
TD Performance: 310bhp 750nm 📈
