Another busy week in the workshop at Dapstar 👨‍🔧🔧

This week we’ve been working on:

🚗 Toyota Auris – Water pump & auxiliary belt replacement
🚗 Honda Civic – MOT plus 3 tyre changes
🚗 Jaguar F-Pace – Full service, glow plugs, EGR cooler & track rod end

Plenty of graft getting these vehicles back on the road and running spot on 💪

And of course… Lee taking full advantage of the sunshine on his lunch break 🌞🍔😎

VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT WITH SPINNING GLOW PLUG,

The owner was kindly recommended to us by another local garage.

Customer called asking if a spinning glow plug is something we’d take on.

Of course it is, On inspection we found 3 had already been replaced but cylinder 3 was spinning,

We removed the inlet manifold to gain access & covered all ports to save any potential of alien objects entering the engine. Then grabbed the Pichler removal kit, (honestly you won’t convince me this isn’t the best tool on the market.)

Anyway a bit of twisting, drilling & pulling the old glow plug was out & the new one installed & everything back together,

Basically it was seized & the top had been snapped off.

No dramas with correct kit.
