We’re deeply saddened to share that John passed away peacefully on Thursday, 10th April.

Since founding the business in 1966, John formed many lasting friendships and connections over the years. We would be honoured if you would join us in celebrating his life.

If you’d like to attend, please let us know so we can share the funeral details with you once they’ve been confirmed.

Quick little job while the customer waited. Replacement of a faulty windscreen wiper control stalk that was causing the wipers to stay on intermittent mode even when the switch was set to off.

This beautiful sky blue BMW 235i came into us on one of the hottest days of the year.
With its Aircon completely out of action and no refrigerant in the system, it was time to hunt for the leak.
After carrying out a pressure test and seeing no noticeable pressure drop after 30 minute's we knew that we will be looking for tiny leak. Luckily every time we refill any A/C system wether it's the old type (R134A) or the latest type (R1234YF) we use a special ultra violet dye that we mix with the new refirgerant for situations like this. When the UV dye leaks out of even the tiniest pin hole anywhere on the system it leaves a bright green stain that can only been seen under ultra violet light.

We found the leak highlighted with bright green dye on the Aircon condenser mounted just behind the front bumper. After contacting the customer to let them know what we had found, we were given the go ahead to fit a brand new condenser.

It left us with ice cold Air-conditioning and a happy customer

The pictures below are from a 2011 BMW MINI (diesel) with a very blocked and damaged turbo. As you can see in pictures the banjo bolt that feeds the turbo its much needed oil to keep the main bearing well lubricated has become completely blocked with sluge.
Sadly we see this far to often, and annoyingly this can be such an easy problem to avoid. The build up of sluge in the oil ways is normaly a byproduct of ignoring or forgeting to have your car regularly serviced.

☀️☀️Well someone turned up the heating today!!☀️☀️

Most of the cars we see, have aircon systems that aren't performing as they should, suffering from problems like blocked pollen filters, low A/C gas pressure often caused by a small leak some where in the system and sometimes even a faulty control unit can be the culprit.

As an extra addition to the safety measures we already have in place and to make sure we keep our customers and ourselves safe, we have installed a new full height sneeze protection screen, For those who still like to deal with us over the counter :)

☀️End of another busy and very hot week☀️
Withlots of happy customers.

This Volkswagen passat came in to us for its annual service.While carrying out the various checks our eagle eyed technician spotted it had a minor water leak coming from the timing belt cover area. After quick phone call with the customer. We got to work and found it was the water pump bearing and seal that had given up, which if left would have eventually caused a catastrophic engine failure.
Needless to say the customer was very happy we spotted it :)
