This Porsche 964 has quite a story with it. The customer came to us as the car wouldn’t start, run or drive with a bunch of electrical issues and a passenger side door that was completely stuck multiple failed attempts by other people we got the door open and changed the failed door mechanism. After that we started looking at the starting issue we found a completely dead ignition amplifiers with a hole in it we change that still no start so after changing every important sensor eg ECU temperature sensor ignition switch many more sensors and tested everything possible it started briefly but wouldn’t turn off so with that being a good sign we gave the engine a full service and then after the service it wouldn’t start again back to square one after testing everything possible checking air leaks double checking cam timing trying to start on easy start still nothing after speaking to a lot of different people to see if they have had any experience with a 964 playing up like this the answer was always it should start no issue. Then one day after going through everything again it started and sounded amazing running on all 6 cylinders and even drove backwards and forwards!! Now after all that fuss with the engine we can start looking at the welding which the car needs a new scuttle panel and some work around where the back window goes in!
