AND HE'S DONE IT!!! Local Karaoke legend big Jim Slack has smashed his driving test this afternoon at his first attempt with only one driver fault for a stall. Even though the Heavens opened up during his drive, he didn't get All Shook Up, Didn't Stop Believing and I'm sure tonight, He'll Want to Dance With Somebody 🤣 (sorry everyone 🎤🎤🎤🤣🤣🤣). Attention learner drivers 🚗

New rules are in place from the DVSA.

Since 12 May 2026 only learner drivers have been allowed to book, change, swap or cancel a driving test.

PLUS, If you're using unofficial apps or social media services to find or book a test, your booking could be cancelled. ⚠️

You must only book your own driving test through www.gov.uk

And he's done it!!! Superstar Rowan Burrin-Keene has passed his test at his first attempt this morning with only 4 driver faults. Rowan suffered a stroke at the age of 2 and has limited use of his left hand and drives with a ball on the steering wheel, like a fork-lift, so this result today is extra special, for him and for me. I cannot stress how happy and proud I am of you Rowan, an outstanding achievement matey and in the nicest way possible, I am gutted you passed today, I'm gonna miss ya 😢 A thoroughly lovely bloke, enjoy all this has opened up for you buddy, you did it 👍🏻 See you on the roads 👍🏻🚘👍🏻🚘👍🏻

Another first time pass!!! The little magician that is Selma Koksal smashed her test this morning at silly o'clock with only 1 driver fault. Because of the water shortage in Herne Bay, the roads were gridlocked around the test centre where cars were queuing for bottles of water meaning her examiner actually walked to where we were and the test went ahead from there, cannot thank him enough for that 🙏🏻 With the added pressure of that she did an absolutely amazing job today. Enjoy all this now opens up for you matey, see you on the roads 👍🏻🚘👍🏻🚘👍🏻
